🔈 OSD Audio SMP1000DSP Mono Subwoofer Amplifier with DSP Control, LED Screen - 1000W Class D Review

I use it to drive two Forza10 subwoofers, the sound with this amp is fantastic and the control settings are great, highly recommend. There can never be too much power.

I needed an amp for a passive 10" woofer, I tried the SMP60 but it didn't have enough power for a 10" speaker so I exchanged for SMP100 and it worked. The seller is excellent, the quality is good, the sound is good, do it!

This really is the best machine in this price range. Auto on/off on signal, trigger cable, line level or LFE input, phase control. Very flexible and helpful! I've used this with a Hexibase printed collar subwoofer and the results have been outstanding!

I purchased an OSD SMP300 subwoofer amplifier to replace a failed plate amp. The amplifier works effortlessly with the 10-inch JL Audio W3 subwoofer. The amp responds very quickly when watching movies or listening to music. Currently I have only set the volume to half and there is still enough power for the subwoofer. The amp has a large footprint. It is 16 1/2 inches wide and comes with rack mounting brackets.

See the picture? You will not receive two separate units. In addition, it is a powerful unit. In combination with the proposed subwoofer, the sound will be terrible. I don't know what the problem is. subwoofer or this preamp. You would think that these devices sold by the same retailer are a perfect match. Not at all. Bottom line: Poor midrange audio forces you to fiddle with the controls in hopes of getting better sound. You will not.

I like the internal power supply and the front panel controls. The automatic on and off works well. I haven't tried it as a speaker amp, only as a subwoofer. I really only have one complaint. In standby mode, the LED changes color from green (active) to red (standby). The LED is so bright it looks like a red laser pointer in space. At night the whole room is lit up. I'll end up with tape over it, but you can see in my photo when my finger completely covers the LED it still glows red. I wish…

Didn't use much power as I use a TV 5.1 sound system as much as possible, works great. The amp senses when a signal is coming in and the LED changes from RED to GREEN and the passive bass comes to life. I tested this amp separately from its target build which is my home flight simulator. I used several MP3 audio files with low frequency effects (LFE) using Buttkicker LFE converter. It turned out to work correctly. However, I expected a little more response from the Buttkicker LFE converter than I felt. So far I haven't had any complaints.
