Works Great - Computer Components

Thin DVD Drive). I was concerned when another review said there are no mounting holes but only very small screws are required - sorry don't know the size, in my case it was the right size - I'm guessing it is Thin Drive Specification). I also had to buy a $10 mini SATA power adapter to connect to the SATA power cables. (6 pin SATA slim cable to 15 pin SATA power cable)

Non-functional - Internal Components

I spent a lot of time getting it to work The computer recognizes it but the drive doesn't read the media Contacts internally and doesn't work Had to disassemble the drive to eject the drive Like the previous reviewer I've had a heck of a lot of time to find a good thin drive solution for my case and him hoped this would solve the problem - maybe this fake?Reads HL Data Storage Model CA30N/P Not recommended.

Fast shipping but refurbished disc DOA.

This product should replace Bd/DVD drive for iMac A1312. Unfortunately, the production of these slot-loading drives is slowing down, there aren't that many of them anymore. Hence the purchase of a refurbished product. This disc was manufactured in 2013 and although the electronics are fine and recognized by the operating system, it will not load or spin the discs. I'll be back. Ordering and shipping from Amazon was no problem and the seller was fast. Buyers beware of refurbished devices.

Many jumps for computer components

Required for the SilverStone FTZ01 enclosure. For some reason internal drives with Blu-ray slots are hard to come by as SilverStone has discontinued their own line of drives for this case. It does the job, but for those doing the same thing as me, the drive doesn't sit securely in the case. No thread points. I had to use strong double sided tape to keep it from sliding in. Update: This disc is missing a lot. It only stutters for half a second every 20 minutes or so. Very annoying.

good but fragile - Computer and Accessories

Couldn't test it - the device is so fragile it bent in my pocket and I couldn't open it. Caution - before plugging into your computer, store in a hard, sturdy container.
