Definitely worth more than you pay. Decent lens if you know what you're doing. Heavy animal, all metal. I've got some decent shots within minutes of attaching it. I am very happy with my purchase!

I wanted a fun lens for my kit and this is it! It's worth getting some cool shots of Seattle's Space Needle and other skyline opportunities.

It's a bit hard to focus but once you figure it out it's not bad. I made this for my friend and I think it's a lot of fun. It's the same as the Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 which sells for $179 so it's definitely a steal! I think I could buy one. These photos were taken with a Canon 70D which is not a full frame camera! A full-frame camera takes a round photo, which I don't particularly like, but that's up to you.

I am a professional photographer and I think a lens is worth the money. Photos are not very sharp, but often acceptable. I would recommend focus area bracketing, take a few shots while rotating the focus ring and you'll usually see better results. I will also play with aperture. If you're willing to take 9 or 10 photos to get a keeper, this lens is fine. Quality fisheye lenses are very expensive, and unless you particularly need them, they're pretty new anyway. For those of you in the "cheap" 8mm club, this lens is a worthy purchase. I have the Rokinon version of this lens and the Oshiro seems to be on par (about $70 less). The lens itself is a compact cylinder that's heavier than it looks. The lens cap is designed to be mounted on a pedal hood that mounts on top of the lens. You can remove it, but the lens cap no longer works and the front element sticks out of the body, so be careful not to damage it! The kit also includes a faux leather storage bag
