My "home " for 1 year

I have traveled through Africa, Europe, the Middle East, East Asia and Southeast Asia with this backpack (all in one trip). The building is great! I tried so many things and nothing broke, not even the stitching! The color has faded but that's to be expected. I use a day pack for day trips and for short 2-3 day hikes. A large backpack never went camping, served more as a suitcase. I liked that it's not a top loading backpack, it opens more like a suitcase. Cons: I wish there were more zippered…

Travel companion to Europe

I bought it for a trip I took to Barcelona, Italy and Croatia. I needed something to carry on my back so I could move freely from one place to another on foot. I couldn't be happier with this bag. It comes with a small backpack so you can take it with you and leave the large bag at the hotel when you leave. I was able to put clothes in this bag for about 6-7 days (more days if you stay clean and don't sweat all day). My trip was 12 days so the Air B&B we stayed at mid-trip had a washing machine

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

I love this thing! fits backpacks, bags and accessories

I love this backpack! I use mine for travel instead of a suitcase. Flew to Copenhagen, London, back to Copenhagen and back to Dulles. On this trip only black scratches survived. Since I use the daypack as a carry-on, the straps on the main pack that secure the daypack to the main pack are very loose and I worry that they will come loose one day. Other than that, the package seems pretty handy for handling luggage. I love how the day pack can be attached to the front to balance the load. The…

Almost perfect for outdoor activities

I absolutely love everything about this bag except the following: 1.) I wish Osprey had a 25L daypack and a 45L -Main backpack made. The backpack is VERY tight, but the main backpack is very roomy. A little more balance between the two in terms of volume would suit me better. 2.) I wish there was more order in both pockets. There is nothing (pocket) on the outside of the main pocket but I understand why so I'm not too upset. but inside is a bit bigger. As for a day pack, the side pockets would…

I'm glad I waited to write my review for this product.

I'm glad I waited to review this product. When I first packed it I figured my other Osprey (46) might fit just as well or better in a smaller size. On the second leg of my trip I fiddled with the straps a bit, loosening them up and thinking more about how I packed, they fit a lot of stuff and I was actually a bit overwhelmed. I also really like the separate daily package. It is very easy to disassemble and is great for day trips. I use it every day to grab the basics of what's going on when I'm

Great for air travel, light hiking

I took this backpack with me in the winter of '16. Over the years he has been with me to the Caribbean, Latin America and Asia as well as many adventures in the USA. While not exactly suited to backcountry tourism, it will do in a pinch. A semi-rigid frame will definitely stand up to a 4 or 5 mile hike, but if you do this all the time you might want to look for something with a better frame. It's convenient to carry, and since you can fasten the straps, it's very convenient for checked baggage.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Some insects

Great backpack for 2-3 weeks!

I just used this pack to travel around Peru for 3 weeks. It worked very well! I recommend that the detachable backpack is fairly small so not many things fit in it, but for smaller day trips leaving the main backpack is fine. I was out in the pouring rain and some water got into the main compartment through a small backpack. So I would cover it with a bag or something if you think it's going to rain. All in all a great package. I could even slip an overstuffed backpack into the smaller top…

Great bag for any price. good size durable and comfortable

Just returned from a month long trip in the Riviera/Adriatic/Spain. The bag was a great success. It was big enough but not too big. I know the hardcore guys say that 30+ liters means you're overpacking. I have a feeling they were the tourists we smelled on the bus. I had clothes for a week, a jacket and some semi-formal items, as well as some food and of course wine. Proper packaging was required but everything fitted easily. A little tense when in a hurry or lazy. I figured a small backpack…

Great bag but not much more room than 55

Bought with 55 a few weeks ago. If you are having trouble deciding between the two and can get this for around the same price as a 55 I would suggest going with this as it has a slightly larger capacity but as some reviewers have already done on Revain and others places have pointed out, you really have to look for 15 liters more. All in all this is a great bag! Looks good, weighs enough. It has zippers through which you can run a TSA-approved or similar lock. The backpack is great and has a…
