Two major design flaws

Good value for money. However, there are a few design flaws. A small amount of liquid comes out of the lid and does not mix well. The device has several automatically running programs and pulse functions. The programs start with a few pulse mixes before ramping up to full power. While pulsing, liquids are pushed to the top of the lid and a small amount of liquid is expelled. Also, some combination of blades and bowl width will produce very coarse mixes. Bad seal... leaking... weird

My very first blender was an Easter. In 1970 it was a wedding present. Loved him for decades. I have a wonderful Vitamix, but it's a monster and I wanted something small and powerful. The first Easter I got licked from the bottom. The service said it was a seal. They replaced the blender and still have a leaking problem with the smaller smoothie cup. Want a temporary blender? Then this is your product!

I needed a new blender after my 20 year old Auster gave up and died. Of course I went back to Auster for a replacement. What happened to Oyster?! I had this blender less than 6 months and it suddenly died for no reason! I've used it for smoothies about 15 times in those 6 months. This was the limit of its use! A decent mixer for the price.

Switched from a pre-programmed Easter blender to this one a decade ago when the old one wasn't working consistently. The blender is good and mixes well. The plastic body feels a little cheap and flimsy compared to the traditional thick black plastic of all the old Oster blenders I've had. Useful glass for smoothies. This model is equipped with a safety lock on the blade base that prevents the glass or cup from being lifted off the base while blending. I've never seen these before but they work…
