I bought the bottle opener less than a year ago and it worked perfectly until last night a screw came loose from the bottle opener and got stuck in the bottle. I've tried casting it again with epoxy but to no avail.

Pretty neat unit but the plugs inside regularly get stuck. In this case, simply press the butter knife against the cork while pushing the button in the opposite direction. This should start to unwrap the cork from the screw.

This was a replacement for the same wine opener; I had an old one about 5 years old and it eventually stopped working. This one seems a bit louder than the old one, but works the same way. It seems a little harder to get back into the charger, but maybe this problem will go away with more use.

Easy to charge and use. It has a nice storage stand and a foil cutter at hand. Opens 30 bottles on cooldown. Great for off grid camping if you still want a bit of civilization and cocktails. I like the cork ejection feature; makes it easier to remove the cork from the bottle opener.

I bought one of these 4 years ago and the only thing that ever wore out was a small foil knife that became dull. I bought another one or two months ago and the switch already broke. I think $15 isn't that much, but there's no way to return it. I think I'll use a new foil cutter and an old bottle opener.

Judging by the reviews this will be a great product. But for the month we had it doesn't work. Thinking he hasn't been charged long enough, he'll never pull the cork out of the bottle. Something is lost inside. It's too late to return it now and we're disappointed. I guess I should have known something was wrong from the start, but being an EASTER made no sense to us. My friend had one but I didn't know the brand. This article doesn't really work! Both my moms and my mothers work putting a cork in a wine cork, but she doesn't actually take it out of the bottle. After the failure I bought a new one, slightly different in style and color (model Oster FPSTBW8225) and slightly more expensive. Big bug, stopped working after 4 months. This may be wrong because the 'Oster' on the product has started to fade and my old one never did.

I'm not as impressed with this wine opener as the initial positive reviews suggested. Maybe I'm just being an idiot, but I feel like I have to get it in just the right direction (right in the middle) and then hold the bottle at the right angle for the cork to be completely out of the bottle. Half the time the cork gets stuck halfway and I can pull it out with my hands, but that defeats the purpose of a fancy electric corkscrew, doesn't it?
