I guess I really wasn't expecting too much but it would have been better to just crop this picture and save some money. The wire came loose and parts fell apart after just a month of occasional use. It was a manageable size and great for our meager purposes, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Very glad I got this. To hell with "clean eating," we enjoy Velveeta and this is the best way to evenly slice it. It is strong enough for ordinary people. I only gave it one star because I share my cheese with the Hulk and Shrek offspring (how did they have a baby? I don't know. Science?)

Had to send back because the wire came loose (twice) when cutting the peppers. I overtightened it after it loosened the first time because I might not have guaranteed it would be tight. But after the second time it came loose at the end of the wire when the round piece was inserted into the socket. The cheese was soft and I sliced it thinly. Not very comforting. sent back along with the extra cables I ordered.

Love its slim shape and style compared to other cutters. Like the width, you can cut a really big piece of cheese. I love that you can easily tighten the line if it loosens over time. The only negative is the same as every other wire cutter I've tried. I wish I had the option to thicken the slices with wire cutters instead of a cheese knife. I really like that there are 2 strengths automatically and I really like the fine tuning. All in all I hope to have this food slicer for the rest of my…
