Description of 🔧 Enhance Efficiency with OTC 1123 Bearing Splitter - 1/2" to 4-5/8

OTC's Bearing Splitters feature 'knife-like' edges which are easily placed behind the part to secure a gripping surface, even when clearances are extremely limited. When used with an OTC 'Grip-O-Matic' puller, puller jaws grip attachment’s outer edge. When used with a Push-Puller, puller legs are threaded into the attachment’s two tapped holes. Constructed from high strength materials designed for long term use under the harshest conditions. Min/max spread - 1/2 to 4-5/8 inches; distance between threaded inserts - 4-3/8 inches; tapped holes in face of splitter halves - 5/8-18; use with puller nos. 1035, 1036, 1037, 1038, and 927.

Poor quality control

Bearing spacer consists of 2 halves, 2 threaded rods and 4 nuts. I received 2 halves and 2 threaded rods. Pretty bad quality control when only half of the product is shipped!

UPDATED: Exactly as described, fast shipping. Has other uses.

Exactly as described, fast delivery Other use as a warehouse. I used it as a puller for an intermediate axle shaft that was stuck in the gearbox. It took about 90 seconds and a third of the cost of the GM tool. UPDATE: When pulling a stuck seal that the puller's arms couldn't get into, the bolts would bend and it was difficult to pull them out to buy/insert new ones.

Pros
  • Practical item
Cons
  • Slightly torn

It barely works with steering and suspension tools

I was so excited when they got delivered today (love the free next day shipping) that I was finally able to remove and replace the carrier bearings on my Dana Differential 44HD . The transmission mount came off fairly easily with my Milwaukee 2763-22 M18 1/2" impact wrench. Lots of force. I then worked on the first of the two main mounts. " from the PTO shaft, but it eventually came off a 2nd with some persuasion .5 pound single socket and a pneumatic impact socket for impact. Removing the…
