Really made for a moderately high VHF signal (7-13)

This antenna is only for channels 7 and up unless your woofers are powerful enough. I bought it for use on the outskirts of town about 40 miles from the transmitters. It worked, but the signals weren't very strong. You should always have a monster antenna, something good like Winegard, along with a preamp and rotator if like me you live in a weak signal area. I'm not sure why I ignored this truth. Also be careful if you need lower channels 2-6. Most antennas will not help you with this. The…

Good antenna for the size and price.

Bought for extra VHF signals. I have a Channel Master 4228HD with 8 UHF bays. I combined two antennas with a combiner. I had to pick up VHF channel 7 from 58 miles away. I'm on top of the hill, which sure helps. I'm good at the station. Very satisfied as the antenna has a compact design. The worst time of day for a signal is from 3pm to 6pm. The signal never completely disappears, but there is occasional pixelation during those hours. After dark, the signal becomes strong and early morning…

I've had better: Antennas

If you're having trouble picking up digital channels that were easy to pick up when they were analogue, this antenna will pick you up, but SOMETIMES it will pixelate messages without a beep on your TV UNLESS the antenna is pointing DIRECTLY at the broadcast tower. This is not due to the antenna, but to physics. A signal gain of 6dB VHF and 10dB UHF is not enough to reliably receive some signals unless you have an antenna rotor. I installed this antenna in the attic above the stairs to the…

UHF Great, VHF Hi channels can be a struggle for excellence.

I'm 18 miles from all the towers, I installed it in the attic and it picks up all the channels pretty well. I think if it were outdoors it would be fine, but I'm having issues with the VHF Hi-Channel in my area so I bought another model for $92 from a channel master with good reviews. This model should work wonders for 90% of you. It was very easy to install. My only advice is to go overboard when buying an antenna. You don't have to do it twice or set it up. A really good antenna for €100-150…

Fantastic little antenna

I needed to replace a 150 mile polaroid antenna that was mounted 30 feet off the ground. With this antenna I could only receive 45 channels. This antenna arrived today and I installed it correctly. far away because i work the night shift and i wanted to see how well it works and i was amazed. Having lifted it just 20 feet off the ground so I wouldn't have a problem with it falling, I now get 52 channels. Also, the antenna is actually pointing northeast at a line of trees and other houses but…

upset. in audio and video accessories

We live right between Tampa and Orlando. Approximately 36 flight miles from cell towers for each city. Bought two of these antennas. I went online and found the correct compass settings for each tower cluster. Each antenna is 21 feet off the ground and properly oriented. One direction Tampa and one direction Orlando. This installation is located in a newly built house. All new quad shielded solid copper coax and new reinforced 8 way Chanelmaster splitter. The antennas and mast are properly…

Good reception, solid and cheap

A medium sized robust antenna, easy to assemble with very good reception quality. I installed it outside on a short roof pole about 24 feet tall with no real obstructions like trees or buildings to interfere with reception. Can pick up a single station up to 84 miles away, but most are in the 40-65 mile range, with the signal being fed into an amplifier and then split between two TVs. I was able to receive channels that TVFool.com listed as available at my address. The F-connector for the cable

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Anything I can add

First off, I've had a realistic omnidirectional antenna installed in my attic for 20 years. It looks like a spaceship. It was showing its age and not getting all the network channels and I really wanted to cut the cable from Direc TV. It was time to replace the antenna so I bought a Lava HD 8008 omnidirectional antenna. Installed and did a channel scan. Every time I ran a scan I got about 22-24 channels without the included amp, once I added the included amp I lost up to 5 channels (very…

ANI-24UV, A small antenna that

This 41" antenna replaced my old 161" antenna and seems to pick up the same number of channels. However, my old one had low frequency elements that were broken by crows landing on it. I wanted one with FM on so the crows wouldn't damage it. The elements on this one are larger in diameter and shorter in length, and the metal is thicker, so I'm sure they can handle crows. I have 132 channels and sub channels plus FM where my rotor is aimed, which is 5 more than the old big antenna that uses the…
