Works as needed, fits edging

This piping is ok I made a top for this base needed a long roll which was cheap and necessary. Much cheaper than woodwork. My biggest problem was the router bit, bought a new one for this project and it got lost and messed up this build.

Pros
  • Fits 3/4" thick panels. Cut a 1/16" groove. Tip: If the slit is too wide cover the tip with painters tape
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Updated Built-in

Reconstruction of a built-in chest of drawers from 1970 in a prefabricated house. I'm a girl with zero experience but once I got the hang of it it was worth it! The only tools I used were tape (to better fit the grooves I closed the inserts) and a pair of short scissors (to cut the grooves in the corners). No fancy tools are needed at all! I measured and cut one strip and then "traced" it alongside all the other strips for the remaining 7 boxes. I couldn't believe how beautiful it turned out. I

very nice edge profile

I've used edge banding on many projects and it's good for edges that don't require too much maintenance. I used this product on a project where I knew the edge was going to bump a bit. I had to buy a new router to cut a notch in the notched T, but it only cost $20+. Once the router is set to cut the correct depth so the slot is EXACTLY in the center of the board, it works quickly. I used a 1/16 inch slot cut from 3/4 thick melamine. The fit was so tight I couldn't insert the barb by hand, but…

Pros
  • Often used for worktop edges, decorative edges and shelf rails.
