Reliable product for the price

I would recommend this product to others as it folds, locks, comes with a tow pin and securely holds bikes (road and mountain) for the price. I've used it for several thousand miles and left it attached to my car in Florida for several months with no rust etc. There is a serious design flaw that causes this trunk to rub against the bumper of my 2005 VW Golf when folded. but it folds tight. Other minor issues are that the parts that hold the bikes in place are difficult to move up and down and…

Ideal for e-bikes! for Accessory

This is a very convenient, reliable and durable bike carrier. I have 2 e-bikes that weigh about 50 pounds each (without batteries) and they hold up great. Locks are great anti-theft devices, and you can run to the store or even stay home for a while knowing they won't be stolen. The tires could also not be removed with a snap-in frame bracket, since the wheel is then practically immobile with the wheel guard. It's definitely high quality. The only thing that bothers me is that it wobbles a bit…

Functional but not perfect (ratchet version)

I opted for the more expensive version with a lockable ratchet. It's a little looser than I'd like and doesn't seem entirely tight. But it stays in place and doesn't look like it's going to fall out of my hitch anytime soon. I've used it many times to carry two bikes, no complaints about its ability to carry one bike. The ratchet is really good. too much of. Just slide it down until there is enough tension to hold the bikes in place. However, ratchet locks do not work. You can still adjust the…

Nice Tow Bar Bike Rack

We just assembled this bike rack and it's really great. Straight out of the gate, however, the clutch transmission bushing wasn't in the pits. I'm not sure if this was mentioned anywhere, but I didn't see it until the instructions said "optional". If I had overlooked this small detail; my mistake. but if not then it should be mentioned that the adapter sleeve is not included as that would be nice to know and I would attach it before we take all the parts out of the box. I finally fixed it…
