What is the best memory change

I bought this to use in my iMac. I installed 8GB from the factory. My wife likes to use Google Chrome with about 20 tabs open and then lock the computer when she leaves instead of closing Chrome and logging out. So when I log in, it's noticeably slower than when she remembers to log out. This is no more. With the upgrade from 8GB to 16GB RAM, my iMac now runs fast and happily. I thought it would help but didn't expect it to be so noticeable. Do yourself a favor and buy this product…

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Hard to say

I wish I had bought sooner

Arrived quickly, works great. Honestly it's a pity I haven't upgraded my RAM for a long time, what's the difference. For example, the wireless keyboard no longer slows down when editing videos; Apparently a lack of RAM hung the keyboard, so I'm happy to fix this issue, albeit accidentally. Video editing works smoothly, doesn't freeze when working fast and interrupting workflow. Installed in my late 2015 iMac MK482LL/A. 8GB increased to 24GB. If you are interested in video editing, 24GB is good…

Out of service end of 2015. Imac with Catalina

Very easy installation in 10 minutes. Raised to a circle with a line through it. Storage clearly did something to the hard drive in the iMac. Catalina partitions a hard drive into two drives. Earned one after deleting. The other shows not initialized and I couldn't find anything to restore. Apple Support said it was a hardware issue. Had to take it to an Apple certified repair facility and had to wait 10 days or more (still waiting). I hope this can be fixed in the program. The store said it…

Terrible computers and accessories

It took me a full year to realize that this memory was defective. This worked for a few weeks, after which I started getting a bunch of kernel crashes on my late 2015 iMac. I've tried every memory combination with and without my original Mac memory and I've always had crashes. They happened with such frequency that I kept hoping they would go away. It ended up being a huge pain and I almost bought a new computer for fear the computer would have other problems. In the end, not one of the four…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Functionality

Doesn't work as I expected though, based on other reviews I haven't noticed any significant benefits adding this to the 8GB I already have installed on my iMac. It seems to be working.*** **Update****** My iMac started freezing and restarting, Apple replaced the motherboard but the problem persists. Memory removed as Apple thinks the modules are faulty and the crashes have stopped, contacted OWC via Revain to see if I can get a replacement. Will update when I know more.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

I'm not a geek and usually have no idea what I'm talking about. However, I chose these RAM items after watching the youtube guide and then installing them while also watching the youtube guide. Installation was very easy. When I first booted up the computer and verified that my RAM had indeed gone from 8GB to 24GB, I was delighted and expected a magical performance difference. Unfortunately I didn't notice anything. The spinning circle continued to appear when launching applications such as…

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Great support when you need it

Support really helped me with this purchase. I installed RAM in a 2015 iMac 4ghz 395X and it started crashing heavily shortly after and the machine froze completely with no crash logs being generated. I've found that some others are also having problems with this configuration. I think this combo must be very picky when it comes to RAM tolerances. I've gone through a lot of diagnostics since I recently added a few Thunderbolt peripherals and changed my setup a bit. I isolated it to storage and…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Questionable senior purchase

Fits fine: Memory

So I added two 8GB sticks to my late 2015 iMac Retina, for a total of 24GB. Easy installation and the system works without any problems. Added some speed boost for multitasking. The two best things you can do with an iMac are either install an SSD or get the Fusion Drive set up properly so that the flash and HDD partitions work like a real drive. Second, add that reminder. A Mac uses memory differently than a Windows PC, and having extra headroom at all times can help prevent system slowdowns…

Pros
  • Good build

  • Can't remember
