Guaranteed to work on Mac Pro 2019

They advertise it but I confirm that 2019 Mac Pro has perfect support. My only issue right now is that the rear screw depth puts a lot of pressure on the M.2 SSD when the screws are fully screwed in. The pressure actually bends the m.2 in the middle, which of course has a negative effect on the drive and reduces contact with the cooler. Your M.2 drive may come with a thick copper sticker that you can remove to make this easier and/or screw the screws in about halfway. Look at the heatsink from…

Pros
  • Good build
Cons
  • Bad experience

Perfect fit for Mac Pro 5.1

It worked great when I updated my 5.1 Mac Pro without having to install drivers. I was able to install a new operating system on this new drive even though macOS sees it as an external volume. However, the performance was as advertised. I will buy this again for my windows flight sim computer.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Works perfectly. Plug and Play

Bought for a non-Mac as I wanted to use a second M.2 drive and had an unused PCIe slot. No problem. There are cheaper devices that do more or less the same job, but these are better than most.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Security

Installed on MacPro5.1 (2010).

I just installed it on my MacPro5.1 with Mojave. So far, so good. I had no problems with the installation. I ran the HD test and the speed on the drive was over 1400MB/s. On my old SSD (ElectraSSD) I get around 266 and 120 MB/s (read/write), so this drive is indeed much faster.

Pros
  • High Versatility: Installs in any PCIe x4, x8, or x16 slot with full-height, low-profile brackets
Cons
  • Something else
