BUY IT FOR YOUR MOUSE!

About 2 months ago I bought it for my male mouse. Who was then mistakenly allergic to the FIESTA food that we fed him. His reaction was so harsh that I worried a lot that he might not be able to take it anymore. But when we switched to this food his reaction stopped and now he is recovering. I also bought another kind of lab pellets for a change, but he only likes those. Overall very good food. Although the pellets are a little big, I break them into mouse-sized pieces, which is very easy.

Oxbow is the best you can buy just not the tastiest

Good. So your rats will probably hate the taste of this food, but they'll still eat it when they're hungry, and that's important. I add festive and less healthy hamster food to them, but only so they actually eat something in between bouts of fasting. I have two 3 month old rats, they are very healthy weight and wild little girls. Full of energy and life. I don't know if I would recommend this food because they don't like to eat it but I have to recommend it because in all my pet careโ€ฆ

Maybe my rats are picky?

My boys are about 5 months old and don't really like this food. Of course they will eat it if they have already eaten another food (Oxbow Adult Rat Food), but sometimes they won't. They just hide it in their burrow and wait until they get another meal. Maybe the mice would have eaten it, I don't know, but I wasn't thrilled about buying a food that was suitable for both mice and rats, but I wanted to make sure my boys were eating right. Luckily when I realized they wouldn't eat it I already hadโ€ฆ
