I bought my 2003 Trailblazer used. The old armrest was broken and dirty. It's really nice to have a clean new armrest to lean on as I cruise the streets.

Yes, it smells. Yes, you can get rid of it. I washed mine with dish soap before installing and that took care of it. That's great! One of my idiot friends, 6ft 8in, panicked because he saw a tiny spider in the window and jumped over the center console destroying the old kid and the noose. It's a great replacement for him.

This is an easy way to restore the armrest to its original comfort. The exchange takes about 20-30 minutes. Remove the lid hinge and everything and go inside to the table. Unscrew all the screws, remove the upholstery, put in new plastic and replace everything. Note: Using a small screwdriver, remove the rubber bumpers from the old plastic and in the new cover before tightening the screws again.

Looks well made, corresponds exactly to the original. The spring holder is mounted directly on the two rails. It's easy to keep the front tip aloft if you swap out the screws that hold it in place. Now like new. Well worth the price, no rework unless you sewed leather. It only required a Philips head to remove the storage tray [6 bolts] and a 7mm head on a stem to replace the cover.

My original center console cover was in terrible condition and needed replacing. The seller wanted $500. This cap costs less than $70. The photo looks a lot darker than the interior color of my car, but it actually matches perfectly. Installation was quick and easy thanks to an online video that showed me the process. It's comfortable as an armrest and works just as well as the original. I expect to be able to use this case for many years to come.
