Great for money.

This did exactly what I wanted. My Jeep has a receiver that appears to be made for 2 1/8" so this was necessary so trailers wouldn't drive me crazy. I mount my receiver upside down as in the photo for easier access to the threads Works great for the money I wear a rubber band on the strings to prevent gear from spontaneously detaching when not attached I keep this moon and a half in the back of the cargo hold .

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • looks

Works reasonably well for the price

Less expensive than some of the other options but seems to work quite well for the lower price. I use a rack on my camping hitch and have ridden some 4WD roads with this stabilizer with no problem. The only problem was the locknuts, which cracked and broke when tightened. I will replace the lock nuts with better ones or just add another nut to secure them. There's still some horizontal movement, but overall it greatly reduced the jitter and judder and did what I needed.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Doesn't go well with everything

Simple, efficient, and neat with a little tweaking

With 1-1/4" coupler. As a result, the studs were long so I cut about 1.5" off each end. Reduces the likelihood of studs hitting the pavement when climbing or descending steep slopes Since I can replace the ball hitch with a hitch mounted rack or bike rack, I purchased a GearWrench 9024 3/4" ratcheting combination wrench to make removal and installation easier. Shorter bolts also make removal and installation easier If you cut your bolts you will likely need to file the end spurs so the nuts can

Great clip at a great price!

I've searched through many names and personally looked at some of these clamps. I've seen them priced from $12.99 to $28.00 and people I know have paid different prices for them. This clamp is in no way inferior to other clamps of this type, except that it is cheaper! The metal used is a solid piece of 1/4" plate and a more than adequate square head U-bolt with flat washer, lockwasher and nut. Not sure about the hardware level but looks nice. This is a great product to have looks, feels andโ€ฆ

Serves its purpose, with a little extra work it can be excellent.

Four stars for what it is supposed to do. One star deducted for a significant but easily correctable omission. I didn't try it until the morning we got together and needed it for the first time. I checked the fit beforehand and found it to be good. As I tightened it, it became apparent that the lock washers provided were small enough to fit the holes on the plate. As a result, I didn't trust them to stop nuts rattling during our trip. I attached it to the threads with Loctite for the trip. Theโ€ฆ

  • Could have chosen a newer model

Fun Facts - Exterior Accessories

My Opinion, I know many of you with trailer experience have been familiar with this stuff for years, but we newcomers may not be familiar with this material. I use this on a heavily loaded bike rack on a 1 1/4 hitch. Have been using it for over 4 years. Note that if you find that the U-bolt threads are not long enough for a 1 1/4 coupling, start by putting an extra #5 or 8 washer or two on the nut so you have enough threads. no split washers, no aluminum washers, just good thick strong washers.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not bad
