☕ Stainless Steel OXO Brew 8-Cup Coffee Maker Review

We really wanted to love this product but were disappointed. The brewing temperature was too high and our coffee tasted burnt/bitter. Our french press/pour over methods worked much better. We were happy that Revane Prime offered the opportunity to bring it back!

Versatility to prepare one cup of coffee or 3-8 cups of coffee is a very good feature. The taste is excellent. However, brewing a large cup of coffee leaves some water in the filter holder, which makes for a bit of a mess if you're unaware and careful.

Pros - Looks great, brews fast, easy to clean like a hot water bottle. An improvement over old Mr. Coffee! Cons - We wanted and bought a machine that was supposed to make coffee at the right temperature. My thermometer measures about 167 degrees in the can immediately after brewing. Tried with coffee and just water. I wrote to OXO about it the day I received the device, no reply yet. I doubt they can or will do anything.

This coffee maker is the best I've ever owned when it comes to making the perfect cup of homemade coffee. Both the large and small basket can make a cup of coffee with the same quality. It's great that this machine can cook a full pot or cup. The only problem with cleaning is that the pot doesn't drain completely. Great coffee maker. It warms the water enough for excellent extraction and is a really good alternative for those using K-Cups. You can easily brew a cup of coffee and it tastes better than K-cup coffee. This is a basic coffee maker for those who just want a nice hot cup of coffee with no timers etc. I used my Thermapen to check the temperature in the shower head and it read 200F which is the perfect temperature for brewing coffee.
