🍸 Premium OXO Steel Single Wall Cocktail Shaker: Expert Mixology Made Easy Review

This product is almost useless because it has no double walls. Therefore, when you shake a cocktail, frost quickly forms on the outside of the shaker. And the shaker quickly gets so cold that you can no longer hold it. This is leakproof. But as someone who mixes a lot of drinks, that's a big disappointment.

Lid and neck printing excellent. It keeps the liquid inside while still making it easy for me to know I'm done when the shaker is frozen. Also, the wall thickness is better than I expected, it feels very solid in my hand and the volume of the shaker allows me to make batches of 4-8 cocktails at a time. The built in jigger lets me wash one item less, the only thing missing is the 1/3 ounce mark which is very forgiving. I love this thing!

This item was originally purchased in Plastic. The plastic was fine - same performance and insulation. But it didn't make the cocktails cold, and it certainly didn't make a special shaker noise. The stainless steel shaker is another excellent product from OXO. There are measurement markings on the lid, the lid has a built in strainer that seals tight, and the shaker itself really cools the mix down with that wonderful cocktail shaker sound. The only thing holding back this 5 star rating is the small spout for pouring the cocktail after shaking. The problem is that the ice is preventing the cocktail from coming out of the small hole. I love how the top shows the sizes 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 1.5 oz. Unfortunately, in order to provide this simple measurement method built into the shaker, the spout has to be small. In my opinion this is the perfect cocktail shaker. Every other shaker I've had has leaked, especially the ones that can make more than one cocktail at a time. I usually and easily do up to four at a time with this and no leaks! I also like the more focused strainer and spout. Filling is much easier.
