According to my experience using this product I was expecting a lot more. Despite being marketed as heavy-duty and industrial grade, these drill bits failed to deliver. The one pro was that they are relatively affordable. However, the cons outweighed this, as the bits broke easily and the drilling speed was poor. Overall, i was really disappointed with these Industrial and Scientific drill bits and would not recommend them..

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting due to carbide tip.
Cons
  • May break easily if used on hard surfaces.

If it's a Makita, don't worry!

If Makita, no problem! I have not used this item yet but based on previous experience with Makita I have no doubt it will get the job done. Makita tools tend to be more expensive, but you get what you pay for and I need something reliable, so no complaints. When buying hammer drills, make sure that they fit your hammer drill. They use the SDS holder system and I am impressed with how securely the SDS system holds the bits and how easy it is to remove and install.

Pros
  • Carbide Tipped: Carbide tipped bits provide long life in tough applications. The centered conical tip guides the drill into the concrete and ensures an optimal drill hole geometry. The wear indicator alerts the user when a bit is no longer accurate. Longer service life in rebar compared to standard bits.
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
