This thing is really fun but my god how annoying it is to take it apart when you mess up and need to clean it. Somehow water got in (don't ask) and I had to get out the tiny screwdrivers and then pay extra attention to the order of all the tiny parts to restore after cleaning. Despite the affordable price, this product has a terrible design. The hole at the bottom (where the salt and pepper come out) is permanently sealed on one side (salty side). So when you grind spices, you have to shake the grinder back and forth to get the spices out. To make matters worse, since the salt side is sealed where it's spread, not all of the salt (actually not all of it) comes out when you grind it. The product does not feel ergonomic in the hand, it is too wide to fit the hands properly. The system below where you open one half depending on whether you use salt or pepper is confusing. I end up removing the entire base every time I use it. When I went to refill and replace the top cap, it doesn't seat properly like it used to. It slides left and right before grinding occurs. I was very happy to have found this grinder and after reading the reviews I thought I had found the perfect coffee grinder. But I was wrong. I tried setting up a course and did everything I read about but ended up throwing it away and getting another one. It filled well and the salty side wasn't too bad, but the pepper just didn't work. It seems to be doing a pretty good job and doesn't look out of place in the kitchen or on the dining table.
