Description of πŸ“¦ Approximate Fluted Wooden Dowel Packaging

Package includes 200 pieces wooden dowel pins. 100 pieces 3/8" x 1-1/2" (10 x 40mm), 100 pieces 1/4" x 1-1/8" (6 x 30mm). Wooden dowels are cut straightly from hardwood high density. They are uniform and strong, not easy to break. Beveled ends tapered for easier insertion. They can be used as strong, secure joints between two boards. Fluted design expands on contact with water-based glues for maximum reinforcement. Wooden dowel pins can be used to repair furniture, stools, cabinets, drawers, shelves, chairs, doors, shelving, shelf, for woodworking etc. Also, we could use them as academic tools, teachers supplies; math tools for counting cognitive learning for children.

3/8 inch dowels are too big.

The 3/8" dowel rods were slightly larger than the 3/8" diameter and will not fit the 3/8" hole. Therefore you cannot use the dowel bar. 1/4" Dowels were ok.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

The path is oversized! in dowel

I needed 3/8 inch dowel pins and the first 10 dowel pins I measured were .020 or more over 3/8 inch. The entire tapered end will not fit in a 3/8" hole. Bought replacements from Milescraft and they have plenty of room for glue.

Size smaller and larger than standard

The "approximately" in the product description is correct. I found the 1/4" dowels to be small enough that they fit very loosely in the 1/4" hole, just enough to swing freely without the tight fit you get from a 1/4". -Dowels would expect. The 3/8" size, on the other hand, is too big to fit the 3/8" hole. I do not recommend them for wood assembly projects where you will be drilling the correct 1/4" and 3/8" holes. If you use them for any other purpose, e.g. for an art project, they're fine as…
