Easy to install for my opinion

Used these because the original connectors that came with my outdoor lights broke almost immediately and these worked much better and were very easy to put together. I suck at most home things and even I got this pretty quick.

Pros
  • AC
Cons
  • Unsuitable for use in high traffic areas or regions with extreme weather conditions

Wire insulation thickness.

The wire that I connected were of the proper gauge for the connecter but one wire had heavier insulation. I had to whittle the insulation of said wire to make it fit the connector. Otherwise the connector did what it is designed to do and it was a smart purchase.

Pros
  • Worked like a charm
Cons
  • Not weather-resistant, prone to water damage

Incredibly easy best in my review

By far the best outdoor wire connectors I’ve ever used—and I’ve tried them all. Three clicks and you’re done. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • ✅Simple and Easy: Extremely easy to use, the locked-in fastener saves your time spent on installing
Cons
  • Friction fit design can damage wires over time

They work great best in my review

I am giving these connectors 5 stars, but that is only because they are really easy to use, once you know how to set them up. My one issue is that no where in the instructions did they mention if your wires from the light fixture have exposed wire, you need to clip those wires before locking the wires into the connector. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong, finally the revain representative sent me a video of how to attach the connectors….the first thing the video showed was clipping…

Pros
  • Works like a charm glad i found it ..easy watch video Don,t need to bare wires at all. nice
Cons
  • Cheaply made and prone to breaking easily

Best connector for outdoor low voltage lights

No splicing necessary. No wire nuts necessary. Not a cheaply made screw on connector that comes pre-attached with some of the LV lights at the big box stores. In fact, I cut those off to use these instead. If you need to replace a light, just leave this connector attached to the power cable and flip open the two connectors to remove and add the new light. These connectors are the BEST.

Pros
  • Kind of expensive (as we bought 3 sets of lights), however, worth it in end as lights look amazing!
Cons
  • Easily damaged during installation

Low voltage wire connector

In spite of the glowing reviews, I could not get these to work for me. To function properly, both the large cable and the wires to the light must connect properly. Sometimes I could get the connector to work temporarily but the slightest movement would break one of the connections and stop the light from working.

Pros
  • Rectangular
Cons
  • Not UL Listed for wet locations, violates electrical code

Solid Connection - my new review

Wires from lights do not need to be stripped. Insert light wires until you feel resistance, then wiggle and push until the wire moves about 1/2 inch further into the connector, then press the locking lever against the connector body. This will pierce the wire insulation and make the connection. ( I used pliers to compress the locking lever against the connector body.) Repeat with the other light wire. Rotate the connector until the opening for insertion of the power wire is on top. place the…

Pros
  • Easy to Install wished it had instructions that were better. But works great
Cons
  • Poorly labeled, difficult to differentiate positives and negatives

Easy to use, no wire stripping required, this is a superior design that makes it easy to make a good solid connection on the first try. Had an existing low voltage setup around the pool, using 12 gage wire. Many of the lights had stopped working. The original connectors at the end of each light were brittle / broken and would not hold onto the wire reliably. I cutoff the old connectors and replaced them with these and I couldn't be happier since all my lights are working again. Just received…

Pros
  • Good product for outside low voltage lighting. This is best connector I've found.
Cons
  • Exposed metal connectors invite rust and corrosion

Very easy to use on my review.

Excellent wire connectors. Simple to connect both fixture wires and supply wire. Snaps together easily and seals well. Virtually idiot-proof. Highly recommend.

Pros
  • ✅Highly Compatible: The connector will work with 10/12/14/16/18AWG, SPT-1W and SPT-2W power cords and 18/20 AWG light cords, giving you more choices to work with
Cons
  • Unattractive design, detracts from overall aesthetic of lighting display

Much easier to install than older versions.

Used these to install new pathway lights. Much sturdier and easier to crimp cord into than other brands. I wrapped electrical tape around connection before placing under mulch just for extra water/dirt protection.

Pros
  • These quick connectors are amazing and make installation super easy for installing low voltage lighting!
Cons
  • Wire connections loosen and disconnect over time

One of the better landscape wire connectors.

I dont know why but landscape connectors are so expensive and complicated. These are super easy to use and work well. They are somewhat susceptible to the weather so be aware with that but other than that, I recommend.

Pros
  • High compatibility
Cons
  • Unreliable, prone to intermittent electrical connections

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Watch for this problem.

When snapping the connector shut, one of the blades will sometimes (2 out of 6) bend (see photo), making the connector useless.

Pros
  • Would recommend this product to anyone.
Cons
  • Too fragile for heavy duty outdoor use

Junk, dont buy good for me

First let me say that I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I feel strongly about this product, and I might save someone some time by leaving this. I installed 5 lights with these connectors and when I turned the power on to them only 2 worked. I thought maybe the lights were bad, so I tested each light by bypassing the connectors and they were all good. I would never waste my time with these again. Buy something else.

Pros
  • In-Ground Lights
Cons
  • Excessive length leads to tangled and unmanageable wiring

Revainrating 3 out of 5

When they work, they are easy, but expensive

Can't recommend. While easy, they work 50 percent, and wiggle. Go for the screw type. Yes, you have to split the cable and it takes longer, but you get 36, equal 18 light fixtures for the price of these 6, and never failed me. I have about 50 of these, and will not buy again.

Pros
  • ✅Guaranteed Reliability: This UL-listed connector’s excellent quality and safety make it perfect for use with outdoor lighting fixtures
Cons
  • Connector housing does not fully seal, allowing moisture to enter

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not a reliable connection

These clips are easy to use but did not provide a reliable connection to either the 16 AWG power cable or the 18 AWG lamp leads. It might work better on larger 14 AWG power cable, but the smaller 18 AWG lamp leads easily slipped out of the jack sockets even when locked. I had to tin the lamp leads with additional solder to make the effective wire diameter larger so that it would work with these connectors. But even when securely snapped onto the power and lamp leads, about half of these…

Pros
  • Lighting & Ceiling Fans
Cons
  • Metal prongs bend and break after minimal use

Easy to use and only takes a minute to install

Very easy to install on my outdoor low voltage lighting. Recommend that you use some waterproof sealant in the space around where the wire is inserted to ensure it’s waterproof. Would recommend especially on a new line.

Pros
  • Replaced screw down type connector that didn't work.
Cons
  • Plastic insulation cracks and breaks easily

I really like the ease of installing this connector. And if I need to move the light, it is easy to take off and reconnect. The only issue is that the wire connections from the light to the connector are a little hit/miss to make the electrical connection. Small issue overall but the only reason these don't get 5 stars.

Pros
  • product is great
Cons
  • Wrong info on revain website. This product did not fit 10 or 12 Gauge wire

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Work great! best in my review

These are the easiest connectors I have ever used. I installed 36 Leonlites and every connecter went on easy and each one worked the first time. Typically you have to mess around a bit, not with these, they are the best.

Pros
  • They are a little bigger than some of the other types but easy to install.
Cons
  • Not compatible with other brand connectors

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great; easy to use!

These are great! Very simple to use. They are much easier to use than the wire nuts that come with the lights. The nerd who invented these is a genius!

Pros
  • Perfect for landscape lighting!! Also Waterproof !!
Cons
  • No good connection to lamp cables, cables are loose, and don't make good contact

Makes installing landscape lighting a snap

This is super simple to use. The product video pretty much sums it up. No stripping. No wire nuts. The clicking system works great to let you know when you made a snug connection. If you are having a hard time with this, it might mean you are using the wrong gauge landscape wire. It's really hard to mess this up. I have used the big box store brand which were quite fragile. The only con I see is the connectors are on the larger size, but easily disguisable into your landscaping.

Pros
  • Plastic
Cons
  • Limited application range, not suitable for all outdoor lighting types
