The quality of the solar panel and copper wires appears to be excellent. I've only been using the pears for a week, so I can't comment on durability yet. The solar panel is hermetically sealed, making it waterproof in the rain. For the money, which wasn't much, the headlights are fantastic. They can turn on automatically at night and turn off in the morning, and they work all night. They have different flashing modes or they can be solid. So far I am very happy with my purchase.

Multiple settings, works great, charges during the day and turns on at dusk. I hope they continue to hold up! I bought 3 sets (two in each box, 6 strings each) and placed the charger in my planter that faced the sun. Update: On cloudy/rainy days, the charge lasts until around midnight. I bought these lights to use outside all year round. The fixings were nicely packaged and I found them easy to unwind to get them in place (I didn't have any tangled wires!). I set up the lights around 7pm and the sunset followed at 9:07pm. To my surprise when I stepped outside at 4am (total darkness) these lights were burning so bright after only 2 hours of daylight to charge! First, these bulbs are BRIGHT! I never expected the sun's rays to be so bright. They're a nice bright white if that's what you're looking for. The second thing you need to know is that I would advise making sure you know exactly where you want to place them and rolling them out as you place them. If you unroll them all the way and then decide they aren't needed where you put them, they become one long, confusing mess. Untangling them is not impossible, but it is a chore. One of the bulb strings in this two bulb set was incredibly weak and then one day stopped working. Opening the solar panel revealed that one of the diodes wasn't even soldered to the circuit board! One of the wires also came loose slightly from the solder joint. Also, too much hot glue was used to hold the board in place.
