Pack Tippmann Detent Latch Ring Review

After years of not firing my 98 Custom I pulled it out and the bullets rolled out of the barrel. It turned out to be a broken ball joint. I bought these 6 packs and I'm back in business. Easy to install. There are several videos on YouTube on how to do this.

My old Tippmann 98 Custom was sold out and sometimes balls would fall out of the barrel or fire multiple balls. It turned out to be a bar which I was fortunate enough to find at Revain for a good price (with parts). Easy installation after watching a short video and no more fun.

It's getting harder and harder to get parts for Tippmann markers and while there are people who do 3D printing I wouldn't go there. The detent is important on your paintball gun to ensure you don't double hit so the paintball just rolls out of your gun and prevents the breech from breaking to some extent. They do their job.

They do the job but are a little shorter and stiffer than the factory. It may have caused me a few broken balls, but I'm still trying to determine if it's a scratch on my barrel or something. They may just have to get under the front screw a bit to loosen it. If I keep cutting color when I get my ugly barrels I'll know for sure what they are and am changing my rating.

I replaced the butt lock on my Tacamo Bolt (actually a Tippmann 98 custom from the shop) with these stock locks. After using my screw for two weeks, the bracket that came with it was already a bit dry. Because of this, when I stored the marker with the bolt forward, I felt it flexed the stopper long enough and lost some of its shape. I've served balls twice once or twice in every store. After changing the jack, I fired a magazine without any problems. It remains to be seen how well it performs…
