Great for veggies and proteins for two

This is the perfect portion size for two. All the veggies go in a bag, and I put a protein in each bag separately. I use it for sous vide cooking. I also have an 11" and I like the vacuum channels in it better, but they're good too. The reel is thick when you buy it and you can't store it at most vacuum stores, but it didn't really matter. I wanted one great piece at a good price.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • The list will be long.

If my machine could vacuum this plastic that would be a big deal. But this product only vacuums less than half the time when the planets are properly aligned. The FS car seems to hate this plastic. The pattern on the bag sometimes causes odd imperfections, which in turn causes the bags to leak and lose their seal. There is a noticeable and huge difference when I use real Foodsaver brand buns.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Not sure

Not as good as I had hoped.

I just realized how inferior these bags are. I folded them to keep the food off the edges so I could use my stash of food and as I unwrapped the bags I noticed that these bags looked like they had teeth marks where they were folded. Lots of small holes in the plastic. This plastic got tangled because I had to cut it, then vacuum and tape it in place. To update. I just checked my freezer for fish that I vacuumed with these bags and they have air in them and my fish has freezer burn. THESE ARE…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • High price

Great quality for the price

They look exactly like the FS branded reels without the cut lines and FS markings on the sides but they feel a bit stiffer. I bought these to cook to send in the freezer due to the huge cost savings of sous vide. So far (less than a week later so keep that in mind) they hold up in the freezer and the two I've used in the sous vide machine have held up well. I will update this review if and when they lose the freezer vacuum. So if you're reading this in the future, they've held up well.

Good product. Looks and feels like what was included.

Great product. Looks and feels like the one that came with my zip lock. It has a textured side and a smooth side. Very thick plastic and seals well. In fact, this is the second time I've ordered from this seller. I did a lot of research before buying and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. Fast shipping too. My first purchase had an 8" and a 12" reel. I use the 8 inch camera most of the time, it seems to work with almost everything I use. I wish I had discovered vacuum packaging a long time…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Updates

Just started using and they work great. Just as good as the bags I bought at Costco but the price is way better (shhh, keep it a secret ;) I just used them for the first time, the chicken breasts and thighs were on sale, yoooo! Seals 15 bags from a roll/paint, doesn't fit in my car. Well, simple fix, drop roll behind machine, carry over top and pull through header. It's ok for me, I keep my bags in a separate hallway. I always use different sizes of HAPPY SEALING!

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

GREAT PRODUCT at Specialty Appliances

Don't even waste your money on food bags. I have bought these bags several times over the past 3 years. I have to say that on the first purchase I bought 1 grocery roll and 1 of these. Because you never really know. But all I did was spend my money on food preservation bags. Believe these reviews, but put your worries aside and take action. In this time of COVID, going to the grocery store is less appealing. These bags are used for everything in our house. I even use them in salads. Cut the bag

Actually not much to like or dislike

actually not much to like or dislike. The plastic is thick enough not to tear. Plastic seal and brand name. I have never lost a seal using this material. I like the price very much. The only problem, and a small one at that, is that a 50ft roll doesn't fit where a regular 20ft roll does. I can live with that given the price difference. Updated rating. Just finished the first roll and started the second. I had problems with the second roll. About one in four or five 12 inch cuts would not close.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Better and cheaper than expensive spread

Have been using this brand for a few years now. Tired of branded bags that were expensive. These bags work just as well as the original bags. The only downside is that the rolls are so long that they have to be rewound to fit the roll in the vacuum packaging machine. To save money, I buy meat and groceries when they are sold in larger quantities than I can use up quickly. I believe meat has a shelf life of at least a year if properly sealed and stored. I use 11" and 8" wheels. Very happy. I've…
