Wrong measurements

I bought an 80L Arcterx backpack and an 85L safe but it only fits half!? Uhhh what a pain to go back and regroup to secure my bag. I'm sure it works fine. so frustrating. While mine claims it's 85; rather 55l

Order 55L or 85L?

I didn't know what to order: 55L or 85L, so I ordered both to choose from. I want a backpack that fits my motorcycle helmet and tech jacket, as well as a standard backpack (to attach to my bike). 55L is only suitable for a backpack (I could put my jacket in a backpack). In the 85L I was able to comfortably accommodate all 3 items. It's just what I needed and weighs just over 1 pound.

  • Nice appearance
Cons
  • Some flaws

Not so sure IMHO

I ordered the 55 liter first to fit in my 24 liter pack and the 55 liter was small so I returned it and got the 85 liter. It will fit perfectly in a 24L backpack (any larger backpack and not an 85L backpack; they vary A LOT in size). After having that in my backpack, I was still able to get stuff out of the backpack and pull out the straps. The lock is a joke too (it can easily be picked in a few minutes; less if you're a career criminal). I wish I could find a cut resistant cable bag that fits

Should have resold to the first person who makes me a decent offer

Great idea good quality. Bought this for my year long trip to Australia and South East Asia. I never used it, a few times when lockers weren't available in dorms I thought it would make my bag stand out too much and make it a target as no one else bothered to do anything with theirs. It's not easy to quickly slip on and off and then fold back up, which is another reason I haven't used it while waiting for long stops in busy areas. So basically I've been carrying an expensive, heavy, almost…

Much better than advertised

I bought this to secure my soft luggage on a long motorbike ride. I've read a lot of reviews from people saying it's bulky and uncomfortable for a backpacker, but for a motorcycle it's perfect. Any lock will only help honest people stay honest, but this one will keep sticky fingers from stealing my stuff on a whim. A common complaint that I agree with is the size of the network. I compared the dimensions to my bags where I planned to mount it on my bike etc and settled on the Pacsafe 85L. I…

Backpacking peace of mind

Went to India and stayed in places where the door was 'secured' with a simple padlock. And we visited places where it wasn't allowed to carry bags in our cells. So we had to leave it in the hotel room. Sometimes we had to check out earlier and leave our luggage at the reception. That meant leaving her in a little broom closet on the side. Traveling in trains for journey. for 20 hours at night when we had to sleep and run to the bathroom. The protective bag sleeve gave me a little more peace of…

Great 10 years ago and I really enjoyed finding the grid again!

Used while hiking in Europe ten years ago and when I decided to go back to random places one of my first thoughts was to look for another. It was a pleasure to find. Opened, tinkered and everything fits again. This large size is going to be heavy, don't be surprised, but it's not a big deal considering the size of the pack it has to cover and the fact that it's part of the longevity. Very good quality but the size is the problem I found today. I opened it first and, as I said, fiddled around…
