Nice wood but under 16 "

This is pretty good stuff for the price - mostly transparent, just occasionally solid Knots and even a beautiful figure. The only downside is that despite being 16" long, the pieces are only 15-7/8" long. While all sides are precisely cut at 90 degrees, the ends are cut at approximately 9 degrees square. This means that if you want your material to be square, you'll need to trim all of the ends, leaving you with about 15-5/8 inches of usable length. Make sure you plan your project accordingly!

Pros
  • Each stick is 16" long, 2" wide and 3/4" thick and you get 6
Cons
  • It's OK

Nice wood but not square...

The tree itself was pretty nice. One part had a knot but the rest was fine. The problem is that the walnut wasn't cut properly. Although not by much, the boards weren't square. It turns out a very wavy cutting board! Also, they weren't the same size. If I had a plane, I would clean everything. But if I had a planer, I could make the boards myself! I think these boards will come in handy for my project. I hope they end up making a good cutting board, but it will take a lot more work than if the…

Pros
  • Efficiently assembled with horses, not heavy machinery. Horses circle seedlings. They drive tractors in

Definitely nice quality wood with pretty decent tolerances

I have to say I was amazed at the good quality of the wood itself. The dimensions were within tolerance, since I usually grind, plane and cut everything to precision I had no problems with that. I find it hard to believe anyone would receive non-square pieces, thinking the only reason was poor storage and possibly mishandling during shipping (pretending it was a shipping box, etc.). To be honest there shouldn't be a rating below 3 here that is a quality product and represents what it is. 4-5 is

Not perfect but cheaper than buying Jointers

I ordered it for cutting boards and was very happy with what I got. The forests came in the expected quantities and species. All parts were within 1/8 inch in every dimension and almost perfectly straight. Two or three of the pieces had small but noticeable circular saw marks on one side, but I was usually able to arrange the pieces so that they didn't interfere with my woodwork. I divided the pieces into three and made three cutting boards (two with thin trimmings I got elsewhere, one longer…

Quality panels

until now I thought that everyone who gives 5 star reviews is not honest. But I am so pleased with the quality that it would be unfair to give it less than 5 stars. The boards were all straight, dry and usable every inch. I have made a very nice cutting board that I will be selling next week. I also ordered more wood for my future projects. I love the people who sell this wood because they obviously care about quality. Update: I've placed a few orders with them since then and the quality has…
