These buckles are too small for motorcycle helmet straps. They look like they would fit a bike helmet, but the motorcycle helmet strap is about 1/4 inch wider than these buckles. As they are advertised for motorcycles the description is misleading.

Good locking system. However, it does not have a sliding buckle to adjust the size. The only way to install the buckle system as sold is to sew it onto both straps, which does not allow the straps to be adjusted. If the seller added a sliding buckle, their product would be perfect.

I like the ease of use, it snaps in and out very easily. I like the lack of options to attach it to the helmet. I also don't like that you have to cut the strap so you can use it to attach the other end of the mechanism. It also doesn't come with a double ring for attaching a strap. It's weird that you can't remove your original double ring and go back to it. You also have to be something of a seamstress to sew it.

These quick release buckles will not work without major modifications to motorcycle helmet straps. I tried installing them on three different hekmets. All factory straps are too wide to fit buckles. Wanted to send them back. When I asked for it, I first received a PDF with instructions on how to attach the buckles. This is a great helmet harness system. I had 3 other types and I liked this one the best. The adjustable gusset allows you to fit tight in the summer and looser in the winter to make room for cold-weather gear without the straps having to loosen. You just exit a few bets with a quick click. I would give it 5 stars but it requires some modifications to install.
