Paint Numbers Adults Beginner Advanced Painting, Drawing & Art Supplies and Painting Review

Back. The edges of the drawing area are too close to the edges. Couldn't frame it without cutting off the cover. Even without a frame, the image will be cropped.

This will be very difficult to frame as the canvas is not cut to fit through stretcher bars or even be fixed in the frame. I'm not sure how to even represent this.

Thought I'd buy a 16" x 20" painting set but it's not the overall canvas size is about 16" x 20 "Including only about 1/2" of unprinted border. Will not fit in a standard stretcher bar or standard decorative frame. I don't want to pay the extra cost of customizing and framing so this canvas was pretty much useless to me . I would say the picture itself is fine, and I would like to draw it, it's a pity that the size of the canvas was saved.

Honestly it was a gift so I haven't used it personally BUT I draw a lot and I recognize the high quality when I see it. The packaging was also of high quality. This was done so my daughter and son-in-law would keep the setup on the included easel and draw a little each time they walked past it. They were happy about that. This was a gift and the recipient was delighted. I had to return the first one because they had cut out the drawing along the line at the bottom of the painting and there was no room to attach it to the frame. The second came with a half inch on each side, but there was only about 1/8 inch of spare canvas at the top and bottom.

I have just started painting and this is my first adult paint by numbers. Progress is slow and many of the numbered areas on the canvas require a magnifying glass to view and paint. Advertised as OK for beginners but I don't think so. The brushes aren't very good - I use my own higher quality brushes for very small areas. The paint must be constantly diluted with water to be thin enough to fully cover parts of the canvas.
