Paladone Nintendo Cartridge Coasters Drinks Review

They don't work at all. It does not absorb moisture and leaves a puddle of water at the bottom, which often drains from the stand. It leaves a mess. They look cute but DO NOT work!

I do not recommend this. They are good for decoration and also make good coasters. You are not. Put a cold drink on one of them and the wet ring left from the cup did. That's not bad.

It's a pleasure to give these mugs as gifts! However, I was surprised that they were made of cardboard. Now I just pray they survive any liquid accidents! This is very thick cardboard. but. carton though.

You'd be in the same boat if you just ripped off pieces from a cereal box and used them for coasters. Just added an asterisk because they are very similar to the NES cartridges and there is a wide variety to choose from.

They cost me $10.99. It's not a big investment and I think the price is right. Also to the reviewer who wrote the rejection because they "do not absorb water at all", well, awesome, that's how coasters are supposed to work. If you need an absorbent pad, use a damn paper towel. If you're nostalgic for the NES and understand the many and varied intricacies of drink coasters, then these are for you.

I've had it for a while and thought the rating was ok. I use them around the house and as an avid retro gamer they fit perfectly. I was surprised at how resilient they are to drinks leaving moisture behind or having to wash them off after a drip/spill. They don't seem to wear off or fade at all.
