Buyer warning! - GPS, viewfinder and accessories

This product works great on my Palm E2! However, the supplied Navagator 5.0 is already outdated. The maps are old. And when I tried to update the maps I found out that Palm E2 is no longer supported. It looks like the program needs a more powerful device running Navagator 6.0. BIG! Just great. Larry Coffman

Nice interface with Palm but bad cards

This needs updating! I bought this device in June 2006. Found out the cards are at least 4 years old. I called Tomtom, they promised a free update at the end of the summer. Called again in November and said I would have to pay for the update which will be released in December. I find this really unfair as I paid full price in June 2006 which included Tom Tom tickets. I will try again in December when the updates are available to see if they give me a free upgrade.

Tungsten E2 + 3224NA

I've been using the 3224NA GPS Car Kit with the Tungsten E2 for the past few days. Here are a few points to get you started. You need an SD memory card to install maps etc. Preferably 1GB2. Follow the instructions included with the kit.3. When connecting the power cord to the cable, please make sure the small tab on the cable and the socket of the mount are aligned, otherwise you may get the GPS not found issue.4. When connecting the charging station to your car for the first time, connect…

Worst Product Best in GPS, Finder & Accessories

Don't buy it. I like the tomtom program, it's good and has a good database. help me figure it out I called Palmone who has the worst customer service I have ever had. When I asked for the device, they gave me two phone numbers: Tomtom and Holux. be happy. But when I called Holux they said they don't make this product and Tomtom said they only provide the software. So I called Palmone back. but they only gave me two identical phone numbers more than three times. not once or twice, but three…

But overall I'm satisfied.

Pros: - I like that the mount holds a GPS device and charges the Palm while driving - To my surprise, it comes with an extra antenna that can be plugged in and installed outside the car (although the cable is very long and uncomfortable ).- The TomTom software seems to work well so far, but I've already stumbled across a major road junction that was completely rebuilt a few years ago and the maps still match the roads from before. - I found that if I don't turn off the application I get memory…

Nice little GPS for Palm

I was surprised that it came with an external GPS receiver. From what I've read, I assumed the external receiver was sold separately. Before purchasing, I knew I wasn't going to get a good, compact handheld GPS that is a device. I didn't mind the extra parts, cables etc as I really wanted to use the Palm Tungsten E2 for more than just my Excel spreadsheet. It was not entirely clear whether the base station had a built-in GPS receiver. Apparently yes, because. The device works without an…

Works great despite some quirks 5 stars

I've been using the Palm GPS Car Kit with my T5 for about 6 days now. It works well alongside the T5 and despite some minor quirks and glitches I give it a 5 star rating. Part of that is because I'm easily amused by cool tech that works, and Palm's car GPS kit definitely ticks that box in my opinion. The other part (5 stars despite some quirks) is that even at the Palm's current price of $179 (sold a lot cheaper elsewhere) this thing is *steal*. Your windshield so it can be rotated and pivoted…
