Exactly what I wanted

Makes crystal clear images and the tamper resistant scene settings work really well. Also big size. Not small enough to break in half but small enough to fit in my purse. So far the battery life also seems decent considering I've snapped some flash shots, but we'll see if that holds up.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled

Good camera for the price

The Lumix FX3K is a great camera, especially for the price I got ($165 including shipping). I've had this for a few weeks and am still learning what settings work best. I've used the video function a lot so far and it takes amazing movies on the highest settings. Much better than my previous camera. Also regarding the battery life, I agree with other reviews, it lasts a very long time. I definitely recommend this camera.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Easily repairable

2 months of gentle use and now it has a catch

I bought a new thing on Amazon and used it less than 2 months and it has stopped working. I haven't dropped it, abused it or anything like that. One day I clicked as usual and instead of taking a picture when I clicked it gets enlarged and stays that way. I called Panasonic and they asked me to ship the camera at my own expense, re-solder the parts (so they told me) and sent it back in about 20 days. Please make a better choice. Do not buy this camera.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Minor issues

Totally disappointed

I have returned this item twice; once for a replacement and the second time for a refund. My research has shown that this camera is capable of meeting my needs, but it's not. One was a feature oriented issue as it took too long to scroll through photos. Because of this, I missed out on some really good memories from my son's high school prom. More importantly, both cameras had lens issues, which showed up as opaque circles appearing in photos with a solid background. Sorry, but this camera just

very good for digital camera

Very happy with this purchase. The best thing about this camera is the image stabilizer - it works like magic. I shook it as hard as I could during recording, but all shots are sharp. The camera is small and sleek, user-friendly menu, excellent panorama and macro modes, good battery life, decent image quality. The downsides are the same as with digital cameras in general: a bit of noise in low light, red-eye reduction isn't very effective, a few seconds of delay between shots when using the…
