Amazing setup for a vise

I use this for a 301 vise at work, tooling and stamping. This vise base holds inserts without insert marks. Excellent attitude.

Almost too strong!

Apparently Panavis doesn't let your mounting brackets tip over. Only the base needed a screwdriver to pry it off the table.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Doubtful

Large magnet for versatility

Exactly what I was looking for, precision vice for fine work. I used a flat base and added a magnet since my workspace is metal so I'm not restricted as to where I can place the work piece.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Security

Precisely. - Vice

Good strong magnet, easy to put on/take off the base and also light enough to remove from any surface it sits on. Does exactly what it should. Even if it doesn't say so in the description, it works great for 301 standard PanaVise.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not trendy

Still made in the USA!

Very strong magnet! I suggest putting a thin rubber pad or tape over it so it doesn't scratch the painted surfaces it's sticking to. I put a layer of green masking tape all over the bottom of the magnet and it no longer damages the powder coating. on my wonderful "QuadHands Deluxe" hand product (buy one!).

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Disappearing

Perhaps a slightly high price in the absence of some features?

While it's sturdy and perfectly crafted to fit 300 bases, it lacks a few things. First it sprays at the finish. No powder coating, easy to scratch. Second, the magnet could be stronger. It's strong enough to stay in place on a flat surface, which is what I think it was designed for, but for anything atypical, it just isn't strong enough and will slip. Third, nothing protects the work surface from underneath the base. There may be a rubber sticky pad or something like that, but the user needs to

Pros
  • Great Construction
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Good magnet With a little finesse.

I ordered this PanaVise 335 Magnetic Base along with the PanaVise 350 Multipurpose Work Center and found that they are not compatible. You can use a tray base or a magnetic base, but not both. I took a 335 and using it as a template, drilled and countersunk three new holes rotated 30 degrees from the others. This caused the 335 to sink further into the bottom of the 350 tray, and once the included self-adhesive rubber feet were in place, the bottom was almost perfectly flat. The base is moreโ€ฆ
