Not recommended for roasting whole meats, turkeys etc. Instead use Pansaver Foil Liners. .

Not very good

I used this on my broiler for roasting pulled pork. I followed the directions, adding water to the pot and making sure it was lined up exactly as told. But the liner still melted into a brazier at 300 degrees when it was said to be able to withstand much more. It took a long time to take it off

THE INSERT MELTS AT UNDER 300.

I used one of these inserts in a new Thanksgiving roaster. The liners are expected to withstand temperatures up to 400 degrees. I never set the temp on the grill above 275 while cooking the turkey, but the liner still melted on the grill and ruined it. Liner categorically not recommended!

it melted in my grill pan

Had to heat the grill to 450 degrees for 30 minutes. The liner on my fire bowl has melted and now I have to figure out how to get it off. I do not recommend this. The worst thing that could happen to me without the liner is food sticking to the pan. NOW the liner is melting in the pan and I can't get it off. Not happy about that.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Easy repairability

Disappointment with ovens and toasters

They stuck to the roaster for 20 minutes while reheating BBQ pork making cleanup even more difficult than just using roasters without liners. If anyone intends to use them, make sure they don't get hotter than 225F and pour a few ounces of water into the frypot before covering with the foil. The resulting vapor helps some. However, the plastic still stuck and burned, but not as badly.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
