Another Papo home run

Another great figure from Papo. The expert here wrote that the tail probably wasn't that curved. Good detail and color reproduction (although Papo prefers gray and brown). A must have for collectors like Allosaurus (my favorite), Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, Carnotaurus, Velociraptor and Ankylosaurus.

Quality figures

I have a large collection of Papo dinosaurs and I would say this figure is right in the middle of the pack. The detailing is superb as usual. I'm not a fan of glossy finishes. This is my only complaint. However, Papo is priced far above its competitors. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Accurate and Affordable Dilophosaurus

Great Product! The mouth opens and closes as indicated. As a paleontologist working with Dilophosaurus, I felt this was a must-have product. I'm not sure if the tail could have been curved as shown, but all other aspects are correct: the arms are correctly aligned, the crests have corresponding medial crests, the subungual gap is pronounced, the maxillary teeth are almost canine-shaped. By far the most accurate Dilophosaurus model available on the market.

Pros
  • Few Competitors
Cons
  • Repair

As we have studied dinosaurs all our lives and our knowledge of these magnificent animals has increased tremendously, these Papo models are by far the most beautiful and accurate you can find. The attention to detail immediately catches the eye. These aren't just toys. Unfortunately, science has caught up and Spinosaurus needs an update. Sorry, Jurassic Park 2 didn't have that. The rest is exemplary. Please, PAPO, do more.

Pros
  • So Far Satisfied
Cons
  • Exorbitant Piggy Bank

Slightly disappointed with 2014 Papo Dilophosaurus

Slightly disappointed with 2014 Papo Dilophosaurus. The sculpting isn't bad and the painting isn't bad - good detail and the red and black combs are pleasing to the touch. Back color can be too transparent. The problem with posture, quite dramatic, tilted to the right, looking over left shoulder is quite unbalanced and mine can't stand up properly. Other dinosaurs I've had this problem with were able to bend their legs where they should be, but I was barely able to stand this one up with the…

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • Not bad

Papo detail is the best - hands down!

Ever since I got my husband his first Papo dinosaur figure he has been obsessed with it. The details on them are beautiful and amazing. They are very similar to life. Of course, if we ever saw him in real life, I imagine what he would look like. The detail of the skin texture is amazing! My husband now has over a dozen different Papo dinosaur figures. He expects at least one gift for every gift and makes a point of letting me know if he hasn't received a new Papo dinosaur in a while. haha! The…
