I've been using this brand of wax for many years and usually buy from Ulta but figured I'd save a disc and have it shipped. But something was wrong with this particular batch or with the strips that came with it. I don't know, maybe that's how it was stored, but it was too sticky. The wax strips ripped the wax rather than peeling it off my skin. I tried it a few times and ended up having to use oil to get the wax off my skin. I went back to Ulta and bought it there and everything worked fine…

My favorite wax for 15 years!

I have been using this product for at least 15 years and it has never let me down. I mainly use it on my upper lip but have also tried it on my bikini line and it works! Maintains all hair, minimal/pain free and easy to use. The trick is to heat the wax to a syrupy liquid consistency (not too runny and not too sticky) and rub the strip into the area for a very long time (the longer the better). I've also tried this brand of sugar wax but it didn't work for me at all so I'll stick with warm wax…

Perfect! for shaving and hair removal

First time - works like a charm! I read ALL the instructions first before using them and wish I had learned how to make this for myself years ago! I only wanted to do the upper lip so I cut the strips first and before I started I opened the oil bottle. I then heated the wax in the jar to the consistency of honey for 53 seconds in my 1200 watt microwave. I waxed one side in the direction of hair growth, attached the strip of fabric I cut out and very quickly pulled in the opposite direction of…

Preparation: Brazilian wax at home.

If you're wondering if you can wax at home, you can. Besides, there is no cruelty in Paris. You can't miss. How To: Step 1: DO NOT skip this step! You want to have your first wax done professionally. It hurts (I mean come on. It's hair removal). but mostly it is painful because it is your first time and you have many hair follicles. Step 2: Repeat this professionally for a while. Your follicles will get damaged over time and after a few months your hair will grow back less often. Step 3…

Dirty and painful wax

This product was very difficult to use, dirty and painful. I followed the directions up to the T and for me personally it left my skin sore and blotchy - even after a patch test. It's been three days since waxing and my skin is still bright red. Patches of my skin were completely ripped off so be aware of the strength of the product. Also, it was very messy to use and terribly difficult to clean. They only put a small tube of oil to remove excess wax, which of course wasn't enough. They must be

Beware of plastic containers melting and splashing

I have been using this product with a heating pad for several years because my previous product was discontinued. I let the wax heat up for a day/8 hours with no problems. The last few uses, after buying a new batch of wax, after only 1 hour, the plastic containers melt and splatter onto the heating pad. I don't think it's a heating pad because due to damage I bought a new one and the exact same thing happened. I suspect they use recycled plastic which is fantastic but the quality is cheap and…

DO NOT BUY ON AMAZON!

I've been using this for years, even bought it from Amazon before. This time it looked darker than usual and I noticed black dots in it. I thought maybe it's just old and still usable so I wanted to use it anyway. (Just because I already made half a leg with leftovers from the previous product!) This product usually takes 30 seconds to a minute to heat up, and this time it took over 2 minutes to heat up and was still set. I think this product is either not from a genuine manufacturer or I…
