Parker 99R Heavyweight Butterfly Platinum Review

I started shaving as a kid. Not a good experience for a young man, cut himself several times. Around the same time my father bought a Schick injector. Later I bought Atru. I loved this Atra razor and took very good care of it and used the same Atra from the early to mid 70's until about two years ago it became difficult to find blades. I bought two of these. One for me at the 76p version and this one at 99p for my son's first DE razor. Both shave the same way, are the same length and weight. Only the handle looks different. Personally, I have several Razors DE, LORD, Feather and a few no-namers in my rotation. I really like my LORD razor for the money but I wanted something newer, heavier and different. I've read really good reviews about the Parker 99r and 76r everywhere and I loved the old school look of the 99r barbershop.

Bought with mixed feelings. I've shaved with older (1920's-1930's) razors as well as more modern (1970's and older) razors for many years, so I know what a close and aggressive shave is. most TTOs. Reviews said the razor wasn't as aggressive as other TTOs, while other reviews said it was very aggressive.
