Made a simple upgrade to my shore power source by installing a .

Easy upgrade of my shore power connection by converting the 'mouse door' to this type of connection. This seller is amazing, entry came early and most importantly a good fair price!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Marinco Brand Inlet

This is a great and durable 30 amp inlet. The brand is branded "Park Power" but is a Marinco product. The access door snaps into place to move and the hinge stays open during use. Installation is easy with marine grade 10/3 triplex wire. Attached is a photo of the installation instructions.

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

Confused 50 amps? nope Just a configuration I didn't expect.

Edit: Contacts are not 30 amps. Pins ss2-50r, according to my adapter. I almost sent this back but accidentally came across a YouTube video of someone hooking up to their large rig. It's actually 50 amps, but I needed either a cable with that configuration on one end and a four-prong parking lot on the other end, or an adapter. Since I had a 4 pin cable I went with an adapter. The 50 amps have an unexpected configuration, but it's fifty amps.

Pros
  • Good performance
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Excellent product no mounting screws included

It says it comes with stainless steel fasteners but no fasteners are included. I also had trouble finding a 2 7/8" hole saw for assembly. I used the 3" which was fine, but if I had to do it again I would use the one he recommended. I tried 2 3/4 inches but it was too small. I've only looked at Home Depot and Lowes and none of them had a 2 7/8" bit. Once installed it works great. I haven't noticed any leaks or anything around the gasket.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • So far so good

Sturdy, reliable socket

I built my own caravan and bought this socket for onboard power. I used #8 AWG stranded wire for the installation and the terminals on the back of the outlet accepted this 8 gauge wire very well. No problem connecting the 8/3 wire. Although a 30 amp outlet only needs 10 gauge wire to handle a 30 amp load, I increased the wire gauge to compensate for potential voltage drop issues. I believe a 2-1/8" hole saw was sufficient for the installation. I used 1/8" rivets to install the outlet into theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Upgradable

Park Power is a line of products by Marinco. It is the premier shoreline brand for RV and marine vessels. After some research into options for a new power connector and cord, Park Power (Marinco) turned out to be the best. My previous caravan with a 30 amp coaster had a catastrophic failure when the cord was plugged into the socket on the side of the caravan. I strongly suspect that there was a power surge at the park that caused the female side of the cord to fuse with the male side of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
