No vibration on accessories and consumables

Nothing special, just high quality spikes and threaded inserts with locking nuts. When installed correctly, they work great.

Pros
  • Speaker accessories
Cons
  • Damaged

Mismatched Parts - Be Careful, Buyer

Bolts are metric threads and bushings are 1/4-20. They do not fit together. The spikes are well made and very sharp, but you'll need to find metric sockets to insert them. Bushings are fine, but they are 1/4-20 and don't match the spikes.

Pros
  • Accessories and Consumables
Cons
  • Negative Impression

So don't worry, they are already packed back in the return kit.

Good luck with that, I risked the price and tried to screw the spikes into the mounts before drilling. Well the quality control of the threads for the first 4 was poor, I couldn't install a foot by hand, only threaded the threads one turn at a time and then all the way. It's not easy to prethread at the factory, but that would result in more than 75% failure in my opinion. So don't worry, they are already packed back in the return kit.

Lots of work BEFORE I could mount the studs

The threads on the studs match the locknut but not the threaded insert. I had to put each tenon through a 1/4-20 die head to set the threads into action. I also ran a tap through each of the inserts. In the end, all the extra work removed the finish (paint?) from the threads and from some parts of the pointed end. It took over an hour to figure out what was wrong with the fit, running each spike through the die and tapping through each insert. I wondered how many people would go through that…

Only one is needed

Alright. Unlike some other low dollar tips. The threads are good enough that you can turn them by hand when aligning the speakers. As mentioned others. when used in wood such as MDF (which most speakers are made of). The base tends to unscrew from the wood rather than the tenon unscrewing from the base. This most often happens when you've tightened the lock nut and are trying to loosen it to make an adjustment. So I recommend not tightening the nut until you are done with the alignment. Maybe…

Pros
  • Legs and spikes
Cons
  • Hard to say
