Works great - Accessories

Works great. I was able to connect to an adjustable thermostat, bypassing (not using) the thermostat that came with the product, so I can now set the temperature I want. Amperage for an 18" fan and a 10" fan connected in series without blowing any fuses which was an issue I had prior to purchase. Battery but with a relay from the ignition to prevent the fan from running when the ignition is off and everyone said there was no such setting. They were all wrong. I'll post the name of the…

Much needed in Florida

I live in Florida so the days and nights are pretty warm and on top of that I have a Trans Am hot rod that I need to keep cool. I bought this to install on an electric fan that I fitted to my new radiator. In the photo you can see the thermostat on my inlet (red top with wire hook). This starts my fan at 185° and turns it off at 175°. I drove it yesterday when it was 92° outside and my car didn't go over 192°. I also installed a new water pump, hoses, radiator, radiator cap and new fluids. This

NOT 3/8 NPT! in accessories

Can't say anything about the product yet, but THIS IS NOT A 3/8 THREAD! In the picture provided, the sensor I received is next to the 3/8 screw. (The threads are different, but the fact is the sizes are completely different too) I went to my tap and it turned out to be a thin 5/8 thread. I've bought an in-line unit which is a 3/8 male which is "often bought together" but the sensor doesn't even come close. The second picture shows a 3/8 screw started in an in-line block (threads do not match…

Good quality components at a reasonable price - poor instructions

The instructions were missing arrows which I have drawn and included here for other buyers. If you wired it wrong you could easily fry the relay as the 30 amp circuit breaker draws enough current to trip it. The relay included in this kit is a 60 amp relay, which is a pretty high rating for the wiring, but I haven't even seen a couple of large fans draw over 40 amps on a cold crank. It would be nice to put a small dab of Teflon sealant on the very top of the threads. Thus, the lower thread…

Confusing chart

Good product concept. Please change the picture scheme. Another reviewer posted a nice diagram that much better identifies the setup. However, we recommend using a 30 or 40 amp relay. Maybe they thought they installed a 60 amp relay for the two fans. Use two separate 30A units for each fan. Don't use a 60A relay on your fan. You need to identify the numbers 86, 85, 87 30 to determine the connection of the device, the connection of the main power source - battery, ignition power and ground wire…

Don't follow the pattern. Read the instructions.

As some people have said, the pictures in the guide are completely insane. My buddy and I had to look up a relay diagram to figure out what the heck we were dealing with. Once we figured that out, the wiring was pretty easy. The circuit looks like it wants you to do one thing, but it's actually about the wire underneath. We plugged everything in, let the car run until the temp rose, and bam, the fan turned on and off as it should! On the other hand, it also means not to use adhesive tape…

Contains most of the components I need.

I bought this kit for my Mustang to install an electric fan push rod on the radiator. It has most of the components I need to make my job easier. I have discussed using this sensor or probe in my car's radiator. At first I thought I could use this temp sensor on my car but I couldn't find a place on my engine that would work. So I used a relay, wiring and circuit breaker in combination with another sensor to get the job done. 4 stars not because of my mistake. The relay harness gives my OCD…

Convenient and easy! 460 Big Block

Practical time saver and perfect cable length. Works as it should, easy to swap out if needed. BUT, use tape on the threads, I got a small drip of coolant out of the threads. the product description says it's not the connection, but the threads have nothing to do with the connection. The sensor tip sends continuity to the top post where the wire also connects and mine is now working fine with no leaks. UPDATE: 6/10/2020 - Looks like I'll have to change this thing. I had the built in Stat 160…
