I hated cutting originals but this was a quality replacement

Excellent quality product. Solid copper wires. Crimps are NOT the easy stuff to get sometimes. There is no doubt that they will persevere. In general, some of the new wires are actually thicker than the old ones. One of my old connector pins broke and I could no longer get speed 4 on my fan. and it wasn't a statistic. I cut the wires to about half the length and pre-labeled them, although I moved one wire at a time to avoid tangling. When I was done, I taped it back up and powered it up.

  • Handy item

Good product! 1999 Silverado 4wd

Saved a ton of money over the parts store! Took me 15 minutes to hook it up. Cut and make wire one at a time so you don't get tangled :) I decided to use wire nuts. In this case, use the correct wire size. I did it last summer I think. Still working and no more issues with wires heating up when the fan is on. My old fork was shot through. 2 or 3 wires melted in it and blackened in the connector. I babysat him for 2 years, after that the fan started working and kept moving down the road! It also

Great Wire Harness, Fake Crimp Connectors

So this wire harness is great because all the wires are 12 AWG, which is much thicker than most wires in the OEM wire harness. OEM goes from 16 to 12 AWG and therein lies the problem: you can't use 12 AWG crimp terminals on 16 AWG wires! There is a good chance it will fall. If not now, then later! There are crimp connectors, but they are expensive. I'm just going to solder them together and then put heat shrink tubing over them. 3 stars because loose contacts can occur when used as intended…

Works as well as OEM

These plugs have been burning the heater motor resistor for years! It is surprising that automakers did not change the way the wiring is connected to the heater motor resistor. This connector is as good as OEM. I removed each pin individually and "tightened" the connection to the resistor module pins. I also recommend putting some silicone dielectric grease on the resistor pins and these connectors. This prevents the slight oxidation that can occur on plugs and pins, thus reducing the poor…

Fork Pigtails are here to help.

A little time and patience will make this installation easy. I drive a 2003 Avalanche. The 3rd and 4th speed air conditioner stopped working. Replaced speed 1 and 2 speed controls last year and problem was solved. There were no changes this year. The resistor is also new, as is the recent purchase of a new A/C compressor and fan. I removed the pigtail (a tip I found in the new resistance comments here on Revain) and found two burned spots. Today I made two sets of stickers numbered 1 through 7…

Good replacement - heat

The only problem I had was that the connectors were too difficult to crimp. I used pliers and squeezed as hard as I could but the wires still slipped out on both ends. I had to go to the auto zone and buy candles of a suitable caliber of the same size. In hindsight I should have just used some orange wire nuts and closed the case. This part replaces the wiring harness on the manual air conditioning AC in my Avalanche. This is a 7 pin wire harness that comes with a 2 hole fan resistor. It might…
