Great for Gamers: Computer Components

RAM Hard. Here's what you need to know: if you have an older processor like me that can't use DDR4 RAM, this DDR3 RAM is the fastest I've found at a reasonable price. I was able to overclock it beyond what they tout with good timings meaning this RAM is great bang for your buck. I'm upgrading to a meager 8GB of RAM that just can't keep up with today's games. I used to have issues with stuttering, and some games wouldn't even let me maximize the settings. Now everything is fixed. My computer is…

by CARL E. DEIDERICH 01/25/2019 I was sent the wrong reminder. The memory I received was Patriot 8GB 2 x 4GB Viper PC3-12000 1600MHz with a sticker that said X000Q2Y917. Under the barcode it was Patriot Viper III 16GB 2 x 8GB memory. The memory works fine but not what I paid for.

WORKS AS INTENDED good for internals

They are perfect for those looking to move from 8GB to 16GB. They work fantastic, and you can also overclock them to 2133, which gives a little boost here and there. If you're wondering if the jump from 8 to 16 is worth the price. My answer to everyone is yes, 100%. I'm a gamer and YouTuber/video editor. Switching to 16GB of RAM instead of 8 changed everything. How games, multitasking and work work. Definitely recommend these sticks to anyone who needs DDR3. Of course if you have the money to…

His working memory. Computer Components

Works well. If, like me, you've checked a third-party program to confirm the MHz and RAM used and found that the MHz are half what they should be - don't panic. It is dual channel and should be read as such. It works as intended.

Does what it should at a great price.

Patriot. 'enough. Always had a big name in RAM and it justifies itself again. No complaints. Replace 8 year old Patriot RAM with this simply because it needs more GB per DIMM slot as games are hungrier today. The old RAM is still fine and has been tormented for years, often running 24/7 and at full capacity for the past few years. These sticks have been running non-stop for about 5 months and never miss a beat. Excellent quality, very serious company. One thing worth noting is that don't fall…

If you are a gamer, buy now

If you want to play modern AAA game, you MUST have 16GB of RAM. Most modern games require at least 12GB to run without stuttering or slowdowns. I used to have 8GB of RAM which caused my gameplay to freeze and became almost impossible to play. Now I am free from any slowdowns and stutters. I've also found that web browsing is smoother and I can run multiple tabs including live streams, music, games, etc. I highly recommend this product as it works as intended and has fixed all of my gameplay…

RAM not as advertised

The RAM was advertised as Patriot Viper 3 Series, Black Mamba, DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) (PV38G160C9K) which is CL9 RAM and actually says it on the sticker on the product box. The same, but the RAM package itself and the stickers on the modules themselves inside the box are actually the Patriot Signature Line (PSD38G1600KH) CL11 model with timing, a completely different level of quality and not an advertised product. Not cool. The false label is misleading at best and a scam at worst. I'll try to post a

Does not work on 1866 with 32GB

Shipping and packaging excellent. When they contacted tech support, they responded and answered my questions. I should have asked my questions before buying. I was very lucky to get 32GB of RAM on the 1866. I am using a Gygabite board with an FX8350 processor. I installed both 16GB sets I bought because I was planning on running 32GB on 1866. I installed all 32GB and my computer started up with no problems except running to 1600. Then I rebooted and logged into the BIOS. I installed XPM and…

Very good upgrade from 16GB to 32GB

We bought 2 sets of 2 x 8GB Viper III DDR3 1600MHz for our AMD FX-8350/Asus motherboard; it was sold by Highly Antimated Electronics, run by Revain.com. This model/maker of RAM seems to be on par with many of the quality brands we have used over the last 20+ years and in two months of work we have no regrets. We've been wanting to make the jump from 16 to 32 GB for a long time, but we've been waiting for the sale. Since there is a trend to get rid of the DDR3 platform, we thought it was now or…

This RAM brought my parents' really old computer back to life.

This RAM brought my mother's 8 year old computer back to life. I built this inexpensive system in 2010. This is an AM3 system with an Athlon II X2 processor. The original operating system was Windows 7. Initially, I installed 4GB of RAM on it. Like all Windows PCs, they get bloated and slow down over time. Then along came the botched Windows 10 update, and Windows and software's reliance on RAM has increased exponentially over time. I think one of the biggest hits were some of the patches…
