Patriot Exhaust H7265 Collector Flange Review

This is a very good product if it fits your application. Either exchange or send back. So I modified these flanges by cutting off the ends and welding a tab with a half hole on each end to make a slotted hole to fit my exhaust system. The holes are round, not slotted like in the photo. You need to add dimensions to these flanges!

After some scale removal, they weld very well. The internal diameter is 2 9/16 so most parts of the exhaust system still sit on top of the flange instead of sliding in. The exception is the "Standard" pipe, which may or may not go in. The screws that come with the kit are too short to use the included lock washers if you're careful. As other reviewers have noted, the holes in the flange are not slotted as shown in the picture. Both of my discs wobbled quite a bit when placed on a flat surface, so I sanded them down with a belt sander to show the burrs on either side (see pictures). Also, I was missing a big chunk next to a page's ID. I ended up putting them on a belt sander for some time to get an acceptable area to seal with the gasket. After that they got along well.
