Cheap scrap - baby electronics

It takes me a long time to write a bad review, but it's no use. They hardly work. The range can be 15 feet and you can hear a walkie talkie if you hold the speaker directly to your ear. Nobody else can be heard. It must be less than $10. For $20 I could get an actual walkie-talkie that actually works. I think you're paying more just because it's like everything else Paw Patrol.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Security

MAJOR security and privacy concerns

My 3 year old is now obsessed with Paw Patrol. So he was very happy to receive it! But on the second day I noticed that they pick up signals nearby. From truckers, nearby kids, and other adults on walkie-talkies. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. My son is so sad that he can no longer use them. As it is a HUGE safety issue that young children have these and others that can talk to our children. If I could give zero stars, I would. It's beyond anger

Pros
  • Easy install

He's recording other people's conversations!

Before I bought these walkie talkies I read a bunch of reviews and saw ONE review that they somehow picked a different station so you could hear truck drivers talking. I really thought it couldn't happen, BUT IT HAPPENED. We put batteries in our walkie-talkies, and after saying the first sentence, we suddenly heard muffled voices that were 10,000% not ours. Super scary and not suitable as a toy. Revain was amazing and they refunded my money straight away but it went straight into the bin.

Pros

Very cheap walkie talkies

I saw them in store and decided to order them from Amazon. They're not as bad as people think with sound quality, but the problem is that they're so cheaply made. I understand this is a child's toy but the marshal stopped working after about 20 minutes. When I opened it I was afraid the plastic would tear. I could already hear something rattling inside. I tried swapping the batteries between the devices and this one still didn't work. I'll spend a few more dollars and buy him realโ€ฆ

  • Works great for me

The perfect "Big Baby " toy.

My 4 year old nephew goes crazy when I get him this for Christmas. He is obsessed with everything to do with the PAW Patrol. Maybe every DVD, t-shirt, character and coloring book (etc.) was a birthday gift or Easter basket. Something much bigger (and they have MUCH bigger, more complex, and ridiculously expensive toys on the market) isn't worth the investment. At his age, he might decide "PP" is "childish" and be done with it (he's already watching the "Avengers" with great interest). Theseโ€ฆ
