5-piece multi-purpose pliers set

Yes, they are made in China so we won't talk about that. Also, by the way, Craftsman, Irwin, Milwaukee, Kobalt, Husky and I'm sure most of the others too. In fact, while Snap-On is still primarily made in the US, it has factories around the world, including China. While much cheaper junk comes from China, there are decent quality tools out there as well. There's a difference between cheap tools and cheap tools, $50 for a set of 5 pliers is certainly a cheap tool set, but it's not cheap. You…

A solid set with essential tools

This tool set from Sunex contains 5 indispensable hand tools for the do-it-yourselfer. They come in a functional and attractive rolled storage box. I was surprised by the volume of these tools. I was expecting something lighter. These tools aren't lightweight versions, but they have the weight to get the real work done. For me, fit is more important as it is directly related to function. A selection of pliers.

I was looking for a tool kit for my motorhome when I came across these so I ordered them. Here's what I found: 1. While not an accurate set of tools, they are easy to use and work well. They just don't have the fit and shine of a fine tool kit. The edges are sharp and fit snugly.2. The mat that comes with storage tools appears to be well made and has slots marked for which tools go where. I'm not sure about the lifespan of the elastic bands that act as clasps, but they should work for a while…
