This board is a waste of money. It was supposed to expand my computer but ended up causing more problems than it solved. The only good thing about it is that it was easy to install. However, the cons far outweigh the pros. It caused my computer to crash frequently and caused compatibility issues with other parts. I do not recommend this product.

Item worked. I did not receive 5 pieces, only 2 pieces. I only needed some LED outputs so I used the standard Arduino driver with Esp8266 and it seems to be working fine.

Obtain and read the chip's datasheet. TLDR: It has a register for both reading (input) and writing (output). Pay special attention to the description of weak and strong internal pull-ups when using it for output mode. The jumpers set the i2c address, the leftmost row of pins is connected to 5V and the rightmost row is connected to ground. So if you choose an appropriate address, you now have an available ground and 5V pins to connect to local devices since there aren't any on the top row p0-7…
