Connection Issues - Nintendo Systems

I really WANT to like it, but it's hard. I bought it here used and it broke on arrival. I found out they were in my gamestop so I bought another one. This one is brand new, it works but only if you FEEL it. The main problem is in the plug itself. I have to constantly fight it to keep it going and when it does, it gives up halfway. And some games that the manual says are compatible (like Resident Evil Revelations) won't register. The remote blinks for 5 hours (exaggeration) but it doesn't readโ€ฆ

I used this on my SNES Classic Mini and it's GREAT!

I don't have a Wii U but using it with my SNES Classic Mini was a PLEASURE! Even for a woman with small hands, the classic controller that came with the SNES Mini felt small and awkward in my hands. For those who love the Gamcube controller, this is a great replacement! (NOTE: The left stick only works on the menu screen! In-game, you must use the D-Pad like a regular SNES controller.) The home button in the center of this controller also takes you back to the main menu. which is very handyโ€ฆ

  • Durable finish

Poor ergonomics compared to GameCube grip

This controller is designed for the Wii (plugs into the Wiimote where the Nunchuk normally plugs in) and gives you the look and feel of a GameCube controller. This is a real Nintendo licensed product, but it wasn't actually developed by them and that's the problem. The ZL/ZR buttons are recessed too deeply, causing your finger to hit the body of the controller before the button is fully depressed. Too much vertical travel compared to the GameCube. Likewise, the left analog stick is raisedโ€ฆ

  • Good
Cons
  • For old

Works great for Nintendont (Gamecube game files on Wii U)

I recently assembled my Wii U at home to play backups of my many Gamecube discs that are already badly worn and in need of a good polish. Once hacked, the Wii U can run GameCube games but cannot read discs or accept controllers like the original Wii. While Nintendont recognizes the Wii U Pro controller, it doesn't work with the Hyperkin ProCube, which I wanted to use to get the authentic button layout. My solution was to buy and use this controller which connects to a regular Wiimote. Thisโ€ฆ

"GameCube style " controller Battle for Nintendont

I have this PDP and the Hori Battle Pad. I was expecting them more in Nintendont than Smash Bros. Both controllers are so close to perfection but not quite, which is *really* disappointing. In the end, I prefer this PDP over Hori's. This review is for those who are more interested in GameCube games on Nintendont than Smash Bros for Wii U per se. These are what I consider the pros and cons of each. First, the main disadvantage of these two controllers. NO ANALOG TRIGGERS! Ahhh. With games likeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
