Great for virtual consoles.

I don't play Smash Bros. I use this controller because the classic joystick gate in OOT makes me fall off bridges and I don't want a $40 controller or a fake one wanted to buy . It works well. It plays the way a controller should play. The D-Pad hasn't been fixed though, it's actually a little looser which makes it worse and doesn't fit your hands as snugly as the official GameCube controller and the buttons don't look as pretty. But nothing is broken, I will update if it is broken.

Pros
  • Plugs right into Wii Remote
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

wired but not wired, decent controller

It took me a while to get used to it. While the design is similar to the GameCube controller, it's not entirely accurate, but I like this controller. I can't play most Wii games on just stupid Wii controllers, so it's easier for me to enjoy them. For everyone who doesn't understand this. You basically have a 2-3 foot long cable that plugs into the bottom of the Wii controller. I don't understand why this is so confusing for some, but in case you're wondering, it goes straight to how this…

Basically awesome controller

I have to say this controller is really good. The buttons are responsive and the L and R buttons are nice and clicky. The analog sticks have a nice feel and the rib on the rubber makes them feel concave. The D-Pad is an amazing improvement over the GameCube and thankfully it's on the joystick so it can't be pushed like a button. Now for the two elephants in the room, the first of which are the ZL and ZR buttons. If they weren't converted to analog-style buttons they'd be awesome, but because…

Pros
  • Official Nintendo License
Cons
  • Some bugs
