I bought this for fun because I was tired of the ordinary washcloths that in a few weeks looked like you could get polio just by holding them. I'm very happy with these things. They have a pleasant peach scent, clean well (although they require more soap than regular sponges), dry quickly and stay clean. So far I am very impressed with them.

Excellent sponge. It works to clean my veggies - potatoes, carrots, etc. - without having to peel them thoroughly. And the sponge does not remain covered with material - it is well washed off. I don't know if it's actually antibacterial but this is my second one I've had in a few months and it hasn't started smelling - which is a pretty good indicator that it has a natural antibacterial agent. somehow.

I was very disappointed with the results or lack thereof. The main reason I bought them was to remove the wax from the apples. I tried it on an apple and after brushing it for a few minutes there was still a lot of wax left. I took a knife to scrape the apple and the photo shows how much wax came off. I even soaked the apples in vinegar and water, which didn't seem to help the washer either. I will return the item.
