Rigid as it is

I have a larger Pelican case that will hold a couple of lenses and my flashes but I decided I needed a smaller one that would fit 1 body, 2 lenses and a flash would fit. This came in handy during my recent trip to Nicaragua where my family wanted to surf. The case protected my camera from elements like salt spray, sand and lots of dust. There was an insane amount of dust where we stayed as the roads are unpaved. I was able to toss the suitcase in the back of our truck and didn't have to worry…

Great.: Camera Bags

My second Pelican 1300. I also have a Pelican 1720. I've looked at many sources for ammo cans and have concluded that these are used instead be able . It is a durable waterproof and airtight case. I have no doubt that they will last a lifetime. PS: I don't use the orange shotgun ammo case as there are only 125 rounds in a box. I just bought a handgun and was hoping to store more than 9mm instead. Photos are for show only. But overall you're looking at 1220 rounds of 22 LR, 100 rounds of 9mm and

Orange pelican, easy on the eye, easy on the wallet

I won't be able to size this specimen until it's on your doorstep. It's small for its size, but fits my Nikon D3100 and a larger 200mm lens. I think I could put my wide-angle Tamron in there as well, but I could push it. Talk about hard, it's a hard thing! I love how easy it was to remove the foam squares to allow the camera to fit snugly. You can easily add a lock or two to it and not worry about what those monsters in Delta will do with it when loading and unloading it on the plane! Solid…

Premium goodness and quality as always from Pelican

This is a Pelican case. If the score is not 4 or 5, then the person is lying. These cases are huge. The only problem I have is that it doesn't have four bars. It's not necessary, but I find the pelican overkill. They protect everything! If I were Lance Armstrong and had my testicles removed I would protect the other one in the Pelican case to make sure he was okay! On the other hand, if I were Lance Armstrong, I'd cut the second one off for being such a piece of fraudulently embarrassing…

Fantastic case in camera bags

Fantastic case, as on the market. Seems to be very durable. Put it in a bucket under water overnight and it will stay dry inside. This review is more about an older version of one of their cases. It doesn't have a model number on it but it's about 18 x 13 x 7. Got it in 1980 and it failed but it still works. I have used it for years when guiding canoe trips in the Everglades - salt water - and it has rocked on the bottom of the canoe and none of my cameras have been damaged. It's been hit by a…

This case is superb

I bought this case to use on my ATV while touring through the very dusty and often wet Rocky Mountains of Colorado and Moab, Utah. I installed it tonight and am going on vacation tomorrow July 4th. I love everything about this case, especially the durability and the easy way to remove the "pick n pluck" foam pieces. They are small enough to be easily installed. You have my Nikon Coolpix 820, filter adapter, lens hood and 2 filters. Also an extra set of batteries, a lens cleaning tool, a…

Used for calibration kit

I recently received a new calibration kit at work, dropped it twice the first day I wore it in the field and decided I had a solution need. At first I was intimidated by the expense of flat mounting the gauges when a friend suggested putting them in a more square case. Enter 1300! I easily slipped a couple of gauges and a couple of digital instruments into this case. Pros: • Cost (much lower than comparable storage such as Pelican laptop cases) • The notch system was two stage which allowed me…

Great quality. looks and feels durable. I haven't tested it in action yet. good color. I use this on my Canon 30d with a 50mm lens attached to a slot for a portable charger, a 3" mini tripod, some spare batteries and an extra CF card. I haven't taken it out yet, although I just wish I'd bought one for my cameras back in 2006 when I started going to the beach a lot, salt water, so I haven't had a chance to see some of the spectacular places where we were traveling to document seen. PS, I've read

Great product with one flaw

I would give this 5 stars if it weren't for the one flaw this case has. This case is very secure and advertised to protect your valuable products. Good: I bought this to protect my $600 camcorder and accessories on an overland trip where we spent a lot of time outdoors in all the national parks. . The journey was 12,000 miles and took 8 weeks, and the pelican's cover did the job perfectly, not only protecting it from physical injury, but also protecting it when left in the car in the 95-degree…
